That's not really true. It's not uncommon to hear "This is a black problem only, not a white problem".

It's not just black and white. Race and racism is a tool used to sell a story by the media and the government. The real targeted oppressed are the poor, particularly urban poor. It is true that the populations that fit that descriptor are more black than the average population, but poor white people, poor latin people, poor asian people, poor middle-eastern people are similarly screwed by the system.
The system is helping keep black people down, but the psychology and the marketing programs are helping keep them down more than the other races the system is attacking equally.
We need almost a clean sweep of the people in power in government to get some actual positive change.
We don't have to, but as long as it's sold as a race issue even white people who are not racist are not going to identify with it as much. As long as the government isn't called out for what they are doing but instead it's that the police are racist then we are letting them off the hook.
So the prosecutor in the case just amended the charge from 3rd degree murder to 2nd degree murder for Chauvin. They absolutely could have arrested that piece of **** earlier. The protesting certainly expedited the manner in which it was handled.
The other 3 officers will be charged as well but to lesser crimes from what is read.
Can you guys just stop with this ****.
You make bold inflammatory bs statements like “antifa doesn’t exist” as if people are saying that.
The point is that all of this, the protests, the anthem kneeling, the anger, etc is spawned by police brutality.
You can’t pretend the core issue doesn’t exist and then wonder why antifa, gangs, etc are taking advantage of this moment.

I’ve seen a few of those set ups. Maybe it’s the gangs that roll into cities every night or maybe it’s antifa or maybe a dozen other things. But there are some groups sabotaging a movement.
I’d support it if it was driven by a revolution but that’s not what this is. Gangs rolling in to take merch is not an overthrow of power.
This is what we do. Blame it on Antifa, blame it on police personally inciting the riots, blame it on Trump supporters. It's never one thing. Trying to say it is only one reason is just as wrong as saying it's only one other reason. The main reason for me to protest is the system screwing the poor and drug laws. We are beyond there being only one complaint.
But if we don’t call out the government for their systemic bias against black people the systemic bias against black people will never stop.
The black protestors aren’t the ones saying it’s only a few cops who are racist, that’s the other side (like Joey). The protestors are saying police and the system are racist/biased.
