We can start with not electing Biden who created some of the worst parts of the current system. We can never vote for incumbents unless they have done exactly what we want them to do. Vote for new politicians over career politicians. Our best shot at change is changing the people involved.

Why are we not fighting against these prejudices too? Stereotypes are typically based in some reality or factual information.

They obviously don’t apply to everyone of that race, creed, gender. And the negative ones can also be overcome fairly easily. Yes, other races need to be open minded about someone trying to not be a stereotype. If a black person wants to become a Dr. and someone says “you’re just a street thug” even though they have no record of violence/being a thug than that’s racism. For the most part though, I don’t believe that’s the case any more.

When do we ever HAVE the choice of a new politician vs a career politician in a presidential election............I mean other than 4 years ago when Trump was elected?

People talk term limits, but even that has its issues since many politicians who lose an election remain DC connected until they can run again, whether that's as a lobbyist for a PAC, doing speaking engagements.....if part of the systemic problem is career politicians, how do we legislate that out?

Local elections, state elections, and congress has newcomers fairly regularly. Look at what the bare passion of someone like AOC can do. She was often mistaken but she was loud and too often right for the party to like it. Shake them up.

We don’t penalize all cops for the bad ones and we don’t penalize all protestors for the looters.

But we recognize the problems and address them.

Trump and the MAGA crew spent more time over the last few days pointing out leftist mayors, antifa, rioters, etc than they did any aggressive police brutality.


What is taker about on the left? My feed is full of more cops abusing people. But it’s also full of the NJ cops marching with protestors and all the stuff brewers shared. It’s full of Dems saying that burning things down is not the answer.


And there’s the difference. Fine if you want to get Barr to go after antifa. But the root cause of all this is excessive cases of police brutality.

And no action from the right. They act like rioters just spawned from nowhere. Just like the terrorists who “hate us for our freedom” nonsense.

What about the root problem? How about announcing that the DOJ is going to arrest all officers who have abused power and starting nationwide standards and training to fix the issue.

The officer who murdered Floyd had a long history of issues. How did he still have a job?

You have a problem with the violent protestors who make the many peaceful ones look bad? Fine. Arrest them. Go after antifa.

But this was sparked by something else. And you damn well better wake up and recognize the problem. You have to admit there is a problem. And yet we can’t even get that far with some of you.

If you want less rioters, you need less abusive cops. It’s not a profession like teachers or CEOs where you can allow bad people to continue on. A heart surgeon who purposely kills people they are meant to save doesn’t get warnings and continue on. Officers who purposely abuse people do. And then you get a murder like the many we’ve seen.


It’s so sad to me that we cannot have a normal conversation and even recognize cold hard truths whether is a health pandemic, social uprising,....anything. It’s hopeless and it’s going to get much worse before it gets better.

Oh I don't think it's a matter of NO experience in politics (although, what did the Donald have?), it's more a matter of the career politician...and not just as president.

The concern I have/see in that regard is that, by the time MOST politicians get to the point of running for governor/senator/house/president they've either been in one of those offices before or are soon skewed by the process of being in one of them to the point they're further and further removed from even identifying with and/or knowing WHAT their constituents want. The longer they're in Washington, the more influenced they become by organizations/groups that may sometimes even run counter to what people back in their home state would like to see happen.

This is years ago in Oregon, but Bob Packwood (or as we called him PACrat) had something like 90% of his campaign chest come from PAC groups out east. So who did he serve? Then, at the same time, his ONLY address in the state that elected him...was the trailer house he'd bought in Portland for his brother to live in. But, too many vote by name recognition and he kept getting re-elected. THOSE are some of the situations that need to go away.
