Their is people on the right side of our political discourse. They act like if you just stop talking about race that the problem goes away. The fact is that it just buries itself under the ground and pretend racism isn't real.

YOu can't put something away when someone always wants to unearth it. There are too many people who do not want people to move forward past what happened to them or happened to others. They want to keep it alive and to seek retribution for something that happened in history and to take retribution from someone who had nothing to do with what may have happened years, decades, and/or centuries before in time.

This is what race mongers do. They are just racists themselves in another lifetime, free to weep and moan about how much is owed them by other people.

Did you know that most confederate statues were put up 100 years after the Civil War? They were mostly funded and put up during the Civil Rights Era. They were an attempt to give the middle finger to MLK and the other people fighting for civil rights.
