to further the drug side of things... Black men and white men are equally likely to use marijuana as whites (pretty much all drugs are equal between white and black... Black men are more likely to be caught with it though (because they are more likely to be stopped). When stopped black men are more likely to be arrested for it. When arrested black men are more likely to be indicted for it. When indicted for it black me are more likely to be convicted. When convicted black men get longer sentences for it. When in the system black men are less likely to be accepted into drug court programs to help with it.

And this is where civil discussion begins. This is what I’d honestly like to see more of on this forum. I’m willing to come here and admit what I don’t know or understand well.

If you haven’t, I encourage you to read up on Andre Agassi’s school in Las Vegas. I believe he also opened one in Philadelphia. He has done a lot for black youths in those cities. 100% graduation rate with all graduates going to universities. Part of the school’s program also involves making the parent’s accountable for their children’s education. He has done more to change black lives in Las Vegas that any politician.

I’m not even sure how many people know about his charter schools, but it’s something that I would honestly like to see more of. Take a look at it if you haven’t. It’s incredibly inspiring.
