I'm aware. I'm not saying we need to throw Christopher Columbus in jail, or punish him at all. He's been dead for 500 years! I'm talking about statues. Who cares? Just put up a statue of someone cooler :shrug: Everyone wins. Literally no one at all suffers from removing these statues. Not one person in the world. I know you don't care what anyone else besides you thinks nor do you seemingly have any compassion for most people in this world, but some of these statues of men who did very bad things (yes...things that we more clearly understand are bad today) do bother people, and for good reason.
The only defense I feel like I ever hear about the necessity of these statues is that they need to be there to educate people, which is obviously insane. Are there others?
