why can't they peacefully protest? scream and holler, get agitated, show emotion. but what good does it do to burn/loot businesses, especially in their own neighborhood. that's just stupid and only hurts them more.

did it help to physically attack the police? no. if anything this is going to enrage the police more and cause them to be more on edge and with an itchy trigger finger, or ready to physically counter when they are attacked again. this doesn't help the situation.

and, like other protests, I'm sure the vast majority DID protest peacefully....but this is a very emotionally charged situation and some have less ability to control their emotions in these situations.....wrong to damage property, sure...but I can still understand how it happens.........attack the police, well certainly not good, but I don't know how many were involved in that or how that part started

Some people constantly attack people for attacking the police , but never attack the police for attacking the people

this is unacceptable, 1,000 people. there is a lot of looting and rioting, that should not be allowed, that should be condemned, that does not help the end goal.

well, we could adopt the same mindset you have on immigration where you say 'if they hadn't done what they did, this wouldn't be happening'

if the police hadn't shot a man on the street, this wouldn't be happening

yes, if that man hadn't been approaching them with a knife they wouldn't have felt a need to shoot

but had they gotten the information the man's family had told officials he was having mental/anxiety issues they might have handled the situation differently

.......this chicken and egg debate could keep going
