They had a lot of encourage to be stupid by the media, congressional members like John Kennedy in Louisanna, and of course the self-proclaimed "The Chosen One" Trump.
Last time I checked, we’re at 15% of testing capacity of what was promised or roughly 23,000,000. Spin that.

I don’t think it is really a valid point unless they had a lot people using the tennis courts. It seems like this was a reaction to people actually using the Park. I think people get very carried away to the idea of equal treatment sometimes. Just bc they took this action with one part of the Park doesn’t mean they have to somewhere else. just bc they have tennis doesn’t mean they “have to” have cricket or some other sport when they are open. Testing has been linear since the first of the month. Average around 145k tests a day and 30-35k positives a day. I haven’t seen any data that addresses the possibility of multiple tests on a given person but the total testing as of the last time that website was updated is about 3.7 million tests. That’s a little over 1% of the US population.
Any thought of the country reopening is likely gonna need at least 3.7 million tests a day not every couple months.
Americans have a strong sense of entitlement even if it being irresponsible to general well-being. I can see us re-opening everything before any comprehensive testing is done. I will keep my black arse in the house until the medical experts give the all-clear, not Trump and his cohorts.

It's just labor hours of employees already scheduled to work, but I am sure there will be other projects for them once things reopen.
A buddy of mine used to build his own ramps when we were young. This just means kids are going to skate through the neighborhood, or find parking garages at the empty malls now.
