New subject....I mean I've assumed there's strains but not really read anything about it, but just ran into this regarding the Ravens' organizational Covid outbreak
OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The Baltimore Ravens on Saturday said they were informed by the NFL that "at least four unique strains" of COVID-19 were found inside their facility during the team's outbreak.
"Three of the four were stopped and not spread within our organization," Ravens president Dick Cass said in a statement. "Unfortunately, the fourth was a highly-contagious strain and spread throughout our organization."
So, does anyone know how they determine that? It's adding another layer of concern as I prepare to make my annual trip to Honolulu to spend Christmas with family. I go every year, bought tickets this year in June having no idea we'd still be where we are. I'm all but quarantined, Hawaii has done a great job, I have to test before I fly...but then I'd be on a plane full of people (who theoretically have also just tested)...but now have this running thru my head as well. The safe thing would be to not go, obviously...but this is a rare opportunity to be there with less tourists and clearer waters than I may ever see again.
