No thanks
I would be surprised if similar triage protocols have not been in effect — albeit likely unreported — in numerous other parts of the country from time to time during this pandemic (certainly they were in NYC in March and April)
Meanwhile, the mutated virus that is allegedly more contagious than the original seems to arrived here in the states just in time for one more holiday gathering.
And we are pushing 4,000 deaths per day (right on track to hit UWashinton model target).
A fun observation for those of you who whine about the economy: assuming conservatively that 50% of the US dead are on social security, and that the average ss annual payment is $18,000, we’ll save something like 4 billion dollars next year. Let’s hear it for “culling the herd.”

How people who resist masks look to the rest of us.
Apparently 60% of nursing home employees in Ohio have refused the vaccine. I believe anyone who works with the elderly like that and refuses the vaccine should be fired immediately.
Thanks.

See this I don't understand. Even if the AstraZeneca vaccine is 70% effective, that's better than no vaccine, especially now when we are seeing so many cases of the virus. The idea is to get as many people inoculated as possible.

This is a problem too. The richest country in the world should not be lagging behind so many other countries in terms of administration.Quote:
In the US, 2,589,125 vaccine doses were administered from December 14 through December 30 at 9 a.m., according to data posted Wednesday by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That's an average of 161,820 shots per day, or a daily rate of 49 shots per 100,000 people in the country.
That is significantly lower than the daily vaccination rates for Israel, the United Kingdom and Bahrain. The daily rate per 100,000 in Israel is 608, for Bahrain it's 263 and for the UK it's 60, according to data from those governments.
The US is doing better than Canada, where the daily rate is 10 doses per 100,000 people, according to researchers at the University of Toronto.
It is a problem. My apologies for chastising you the other night over this. It's an easy gut reaction based on the history of you and those like you with a similar political mindset *****ing about everything you disagree with.
The US massively succeeded in developing vaccines, but has absolutely failed in the administration of the vaccines. It is definitely a black eye to democracy. Whether it's the CDCs recommendations putting a certain demographic above the other, the failure of congress to realize the appropriate roll out or the state governments inability to act....it has absolutely been a failure.
It's a cluster **** and inexcusable.
I personally think this falls on the shoulders of the CDC. They should've never prioritized the vaccines roll out. It just made things difficult from a logistics standpoint.
How long are you guys around these loved ones? If you're in close proximity, sharing an environment for prolonged stretches, the masks might be ineffective. Whats the pore size on your masks?
Thats assuming viruses transmit the way most experts have alleged. Several in my family have gotten it by now and they have some wild experiences. Like in one household none of the men got it despite their ladies "testing" positive, these guys are in the medical field and just ridiculing this virus. Im too scared to go visit them but thats because I lack the conviction of any belief on this one. Im a good sheep
