Hey
Herd immunity crapinmypants is just a statistic. Natural immunity if different from herd immunity and I never ever brought it up anywhere and at anytime. Your fool buddy, nate, brought it up in one of his asinine PING PING PUNG PING efforts.
The statistic didn't mean ****. What was relevant was that if people got the virus and recovered from it, they normally had antibodies in their system to fight off another exposure to it. As more and more people get exposed and survive the population becomes safer in general. This has happened in many other severe cases of virus in the past. you are a fool for not understanding this. Fauci and the Health agencies in their quest toward more money in their pocket book, they downplayed and lied to the public about herd immunity as an important factor in dealing with and planning for the virus.
Why did Fauci lie about the herd immunity do you think? I say he was making more money for the Big Pharma jabbers by deliberately down playing Herd immunity AND being in a big rush to push the needless booster shot for even those who had immunity from having had the virus once before.
Hopefully when the Reps take over next year, we will have Congressional hearings to see what actually happened with Fauci actions with BIg Pharm and the Mask bandits. I want someone to check out his financial records before and after Covid along with many others dealing with the WHO and the US health and regulatory departments and agencies.
No, its not a statistic. Its a real concept. Herd immunity existed previous to COVID. They didn't just magically make it up. Childhood illnesses such as measles, mumps, diphtheria, polio, chickenpox, etc., all reached herd immunity through almost universal vaccination. Hmmm, you know what virus hasn't reached universal vaccination status?
I said you confused the two because you did. I'm aware how virus adaptation works. That doesn't mean we've reached herd immunity.
Did you forget what you said? Is your brain failing you at your older age? That would assume it worked much in the first place which we both know it doesn't.
He didn't lie. The science evolved as the virus mutated and became more infectious. Not to mention, re-infected those who had previous strains of COVID. What don't you understand? I know you hate science, think the virus is some kind of sham, and that Fauci is some evil person in it for profit but that doesn't make any of the ******** you peddle any less false.
My goodness, man, give it a break from the bullcrap. I never talked about herd immunity being an invention or anything other than a statistic. You and your know nothing buddies make stuff up and ignore the TRUTH OF THINGS in a useless attempt of somehow getting over someone else.
Fauci lied about herd immunity used as a meaningful way of slowing down Covid. Period. He knew if people became immune from getting Covid again of reduce its potency, that his Big Money friends wouldn't be able to peddle the Booster shots which were pretty much valueless in preventing the virus at all. It was just another series of lies of the Biden adminsstration and how they screwed up the federal response to Covid.
Hey dummy. He admitted he lied. He said that he kept moving the % of the public having immunity to a higher and higher percentage requirement despite having already achieving herd immunity. He admitted the deception and lying to the public. To say that Fauci didn't lie is a lie from you.
Also. I never said that those previously having Covid couldn't get it again. This is dealt with by a human's individual immune system first of all. But the great majority of people that contract Covid a second time have a very mild case of it and may not actually know that they have it at all. It also was shown that the immunity gained by a previous infection was better than the booster shots received by those who did not ever contract Covid previously.
That's not lying you dipshit. That's being wrong about his initial projections. As the science behind the virus evolved and the virus itself mutated, they had to push those projections to a higher number of people vaccinated and/or had COVID.
:laugh2:
You still don't get what herd immunity is do you? I'm going to quote this link again because lord knows between the both of us, I'm the only one who has grasped such a monumentally difficult concept.

All this while people still die of COVID by the thousands throughout the world daily.Quote:
While there are now vaccines to protect against COVID-19, It may be months before enough people can receive them. It is hoped, that the vaccines will eventually help bring the spread under control. Researchers estimate that 75-80% of the population would need to be vaccinated before we can have herd immunity.
Herd immunity, or community immunity, is when a large part of the population of an area is immune to a specific disease. If enough people are resistant to the cause of a disease, such as a virus or bacteria, it has nowhere to go.
While not every single individual may be immune, the group as a whole has protection. This is because there are fewer high-risk people overall. The infection rates drop, and the disease peters out.
Herd immunity protects at-risk populations. These include babies and those whose immune systems are weak and can’t get resistance on their own.
A great majority of people who contract COVID the second, third or however many times are either vaccinated or contracted a variant that is far less significant than its previous incarnations. That doesn't mean we've reached herd immunity you bumbling moron. Herd immunity comes from means in which you haven't described.
Im joining in late but is the argument that we have reached herd immunity for the earlier versions of the virus?
Yes we have. Basically there is a language problem going on right now between what herd immunity really means practically in the US. My opinion is that the calculation of what the percentage of the population acquires immunity doesn't really matter which others here think the calculation itself is the big issue. My opinion is that it is the immunity of a person that is the issue in planning the fight against Covid. My opinion is that herd immunity based on people who were infected by Covid and acquired immunity from getting infected should have been considered and were not by Fauci and the health organizations policy making groups made bad decisions in order to boost the sales of booster shots instead.
To me, this was simple logic that not only wasn't done but it was not done INTENTIONALLY by the health departments.
You're smart and can make your own decisions. Fauci himself stated when questioned on the subject that he did not tell the truth about the percentage of the population that had to have been immunized from the original Covid viruses . He kept raising the percentage requirement before he would DECLARE herd immunity because he didn't want the population to stop taking the jabs for whatever reason. Look it up if you want to.
Super weird how the immunologist wanted more people to take a safe and effective vaccine. Totally out of the blue for an immunologist to want something like that.
