And the two incidents aren't viewed the same by the general (voting) public. Someone getting in a car accident is sad but most people just shrug and move on. Seatbelts are determined necessary. 9/11 happens and most are scared/angry so we get the wars and such. Covid happens and most are scared/concerned and the country is shut down for over a year and we get mandates. The more anxiety and fear an incident causes the more power the government seizes.Quote:
