Simple question can kids be carriers and spreaders of the virus? If they can (and we know they can), then they should be masked.

Secondly, I'm not suggesting the monoclonal antibody treatment isn't effective. I'm saying the vaccine is far more effective. Why push the treatment when you can push something that is designed to mitigate spread, significantly reduce more grave cases/death and something that is produced to get you to the point of not needing said treatment? Preventative measures>>>treatment.

Meh, he should be a lot more vocal about the vaccine and stop worrying so much about mandates. Mandates mind you that are rooted in over a 100 year old Supreme Court precedent btw.

What are the odds that kids will become infected? What are the odds that kids will spread the infection? We know that kid's are both less likely to get and spread the infection. Are masks a zero-cost solution? If their not then we should weigh the costs and benefits of masking in schools vs other remediation effects.

Let me put it another way if someone who is vaccinated gets a breakthrough infection, and winds up in the hospital, shouldn't they receive treatments to reduce the severity of their condition, and even you know save their life.
My grandparents are vax'd but if they wind up in the hospital with Covid, I would want them monoclonal antibody treatment. Wouldn't you want that for your parents/grandparents?
Promoting monoclonal antibody treatment, is for after their in the hospital, promoting vaccines are for before their in the hospital.

120,000 kids in just the last week. 20,000 of them in Mississippi alone. That sounds pretty significant to me and I'd bet many of them are getting it in schools. Not to mention, its not just kids. Kids can absolutely spread the virus to other people which continues the pattern of infection.

Who is advocating against treatment? I'm not. I posted that link about molnupiravir just a couple of days ago. The new Merck drug works as well and is a lot less expensive than monoclonal antibodies. They are incredibly expensive.

I still tell people to listen to their personal physician, as opposed to a politician or a media representative for their medical advice. Several people I know have been told, by their physicians, not to take vaccines and to continue wearing masks when they are out in public. I understand that and can respect that. They have underlying conditions that make vaccines dangerous to them.
These people are exceedingly rare and I encourage everyone that can be vaccinated to get vaccinated.

Not to mention, only 185 million people are fully vaccinated in the US. The US population is 330 million so technically only 56% of Americans have been fully vaccinated. Yes, I'm aware not everyone is eligible but you're not going to get to the %s necessary until the vaccine is presumably approved for every age bracket.

I don't know how much validity there is in herd immunity anyways. Not if there continues to be variants that even vaccinated people can get.
