Its not the flu. The flu doesn't kill 350,000 people in 9 months in the US (flu vaccine or not). I don't give a crap how many times you repeat it. Maybe it becomes as insignificant as the flu once the vaccine is readily available but we're not nearly there yet.

Its categories, genius. The amount of people taking significant shortcuts is not immeasurable. Hence why certain countries have had a significantly better handle on this virus. South Korea had 652 COVID cases yesterday. The US had 291,000.

But keep going with your flu narrative.

Tell that to the first liners in the hospitals, the funeral operators, and grieving family members. "It is just the flu guys, my family had it and they are doing fine now".

No, the anti mask movement was a significant portion of trump supporters.

In central California it's very common. I'm still meeting Trumpers who think this is all a hoax, just the flu.

Someone mentioned in the other thread that apparently 70% of republicans think the election is stolen. I think you are severely underestimating the Trump effect.

I'm glad that you didn't get major symptoms. But it's not the flu, it won't ever be the flu.

Two of my closest friends (one in his 20's and the other in his 30's) and they both experienced pretty severe symptoms. They are both going to have lung issues for the rest of their lives now due to the illness.

During the summer among those under the age of 24 you are right it was not the flu. It wasn't as bad as the flu. And that is without any vaccines. Once the vaccines are out it looks like Covid will be nothing like the flu. The flu will be way more dangerous.

But we dont have vaccines yet. This is what people are somehow not comprehending, how virus spreads COMOLETELY different than established virus.

When the flu was new it had the same spread pattern.

And I just saw in Google it says Spanish flu killed 675,000 people, so if that's true actually corona is more likely deadlier. Had it burned through like trump wanted it to I believe there would have been much more dead.
