What does this have to do with their morality? You’re saying the people who confronted the KKK and Nazis are the same morally because they didn’t bring enough people to fight them?
Ignore the Nazis? I don't think so. I have said that their brand of hatred is not acceptable in any place. Charlottesville allowed it, so they are more at fault than either the left or right protestors.
And, no, I would not confront someone with that much hatred alone. I don't have a deathwish. I would not have attended the march at all.
Of course the people confronting the KKK and the Nazis had the moral high ground. It's absolutely baffling that you could even attempt to argue otherwise.
You know how you can tell who has the moral high ground in a confrontation between Nazis and people that live in a city where Nazis are marching in the streets? It's super simple.
The people with the moral high ground are the ones that aren't Nazis.
I do not think that the KKK/Nazi way of thinking is ever acceptable. The city of Charlottesville granted them a permit to march. The left-wingers confronted them during that march.
All 3 sides were to blame for the outcome. Had the city not allowed the march in the first place, it would not have happened. Had the left-wingers not confronted them, it would not have happened. Had the KKK/Nazis not wanted to spread their hatred, it would not have happened.
Did I ever say the Nazis/KKK had the moral high ground? I did not. Attacking them phyiscally does not give you the moral high ground. Attacking them verbally, philosophically gives you the moral high ground. When you play their game, you don't. That is what happened here.
Catman, Listen to the reasons you gave for why the left-wingers there were in the wrong. Were any of the reasons you listed as bad as the KKK or Nazis?
