I don't even want to be moderator lol. I have offered it up multiple times to those that think it should be run different. I would just rather handle some of this BS than see the gotcha games be effective like they were before. Dealing with the rest of the mods is definitely an issue because they have no idea what this forum is like on an every day basis.

I appreciate the offer, I have no issues with people on the right being a moderator and will let others know you offered. I actually suggested Sitewolf a while back but was told he declined.

My guess would be that your history of posting might be the issue they focus on but it is worth a shot if you are truly interested.

Site wolf would have been great. I think he runs/helps another site if memory serves.

I love the liberal moderator narrative though. While liberalism and conservatism almost never come up in the mod room, the guys in charge are pretty conservative. I'm talking actual conservative values regardless of politics.

Ya, I believe he has his own sports site he has said before.

I honestly don't know a lot of the other mods as they seem to come from the baseball forum which I don't really follow. The right/left or conservative/liberal values never really get mentioned so it's tough to tell. I am not surprised that some of the guys in charge are more conservative (I think at least one has mentioned it but that's it).

The people that whine about the narrative are often the ones who are simply extreme in that culture war described (unfortunately a lot here). There is rarely ever clear reasoning provided how what was done is related to their beliefs one way or another. It's just mindless whining about the evil left.

What post did you delete for "bigotry"? Do the mods not inform the poster when something is against the rules? Seriously. BIGOTRY? I've been called every vile thing one can call another person and normally return sarcasm and blunt responses. But "BIGOTRY"? Nah. Might I also ask where an accusation of TREASON toward a disabled combat veteran stacks up on whatever "no no" list of violations is found. I can tell you point blank that it is right up there with the worst thing that you can call a combat veteran.

Well, I'll advocate for brewers and run it with him if he accepts, providing you really don't want to deal with it anymore or need a break. Someone else will have to tap in for me about June or so for a while though.

It's being discussed, it was your response to NY about monkey pox etc... It was in the Texas abortion thread from I think two days ago. There are some discussions about how to moderate the forum still going on. Once that is figured out I or someone else will likely reach out. If you want my opinion a delete and reminder PM is how it should be handled but it's not just up to me what happens moving forward.

Calling others names is allowed on this forum, so it's not breaking the rules. It's just the most extreme aspects like bigotry or racism we don't allow. While I agree that is definitely offensive too, I am not sure what you expect from others given your own history of posting.

I don't mind running the forum if it's just send me a pm and delete the posts with gotcha games/RP not allowed. I am not going to take time and evaluate context on every issue someone complains about enforcing rules though. I don't have that type of time to waste, especially when you also need to explain it all to other mods who have no idea what the forum is like.

We will see what is said on how others want to move forward and go from there.

Take a look at site rules on top of the page that lists all the forums. I think accusations of treason in most circumstances would fall under insults, though I don't believe they are accusations when the person being accused is actually calling for a coup. In that case, it's just an accurate description.
