Oh Sure, spend more wasted money. The government just reported that over $100,000,000,000 of the PPP money distributed to people was given fraudulently . Former US attorney investigating matter called it the biggest fraud in a generation. Now the Biden administration wants more relief money. Hey, Joey, why not find all of that money that went out fraudulently before you ask for more?


I was missing an additional three zeros. My mistake. It really is 10% of the money given out fraudulently.

There were almost $1T given out in the PPP program. $100M out of $1T is not bad. 0.01% fraud ain't bad friend.

The numbers that have been bandied about elsewhere are far higher than .01%. It should definitely be investigated.

I never said that it shouldn't be investigated. But the money that was put out has extraordinarily low fraud numbers. Putting it in absolute values paints the program distorts the true picture.

I assume this is you signaling your support for increasing federal funds to schools in impoverished districts?

Proper funding hasn't happened for public schools in over a generation. Its a real shame that people don't see it. Without public schools, we are in trouble.
But this discussion is for a different thread, not the Covid thread.

No, I want to completely change the model on how schools are funded, including school choice. Why should only the rich have the option of sending their kids to a private school?
