And all the non-elderly? Do they not exist?

Florida's COVID deaths since 1 April: 19,590
New York's COVID deaths since 1 April: 4,930
Yes, if only they had gone with their policies this year, they'd have 4x as few deaths...
I don't know how fair any of that is because I'm sure all presidents get caught with their pants down in these circumstances. The odds are slim anyone is fully prepared for once in a century type event. There's a reason why there wasn't stockpiles of PPE around when this began in January of 2020 and the actual game plan for how to protect ourselves evolved on the fly.
I don't fault Trump for that aspect of it. Just how he handled most everything thereafter.
The good thing is we will have a more extensive blueprint of how to handle something like this again in the future. Its not necessarily an ideal one but its still better than the alternative.
Also love how you showed that but failed to mention some causes as to why that happened. The article even didn’t put the blame on the governor. It could be a seasonality thing where northern states will get hit harder during the winter etc
Florida is above average when it comes to vaccines as well (57% vaccinated compared to 55% nationally)

You really have no business calling people dumb when you ask stupid questions like this. NY was the epicenter of this thing for the first few months of the virus in the US. Couple that with Cuomo's handling of the virus in its initial stages and yes NY had a lot of people dying from COVID. That doesn't change Florida's ineptitude in the later stages of 2020 and all of 2021. Mind you that's during a time where the vaccine has become readily available.
Did you ever wonder why since April of 2021 that Florida has 5 times the amount of death NY does?
Yay, Florida!
