We're maybe getting $600?
Don't hold your breath someone with even nix this deal. They have been giving out hope of passing a good stimulus check and not getting it done for months. I feel like Charlie Brown down twenty to one and going to kick the ball Lucy is holding and she pulls it away when I kick. Oh, how I wish Pelosi had accepted the better offer that was on the table before the election. Both of these parties have been playing political games at the expense of the public. A lot of people will have a very bad Christmas this year thanks, in part, to them. They are on their own and all they get is empty sympathy from DC.
All these delays over the stimulus bill are starting to cause even a deeper rift between the progressives and moderates. Biden is going to have a rocky start to his administration because once again the Democrats will have to clean up the mess from a republican administration. Q'Anon, progressives vs moderate, pandemic, and economical problems, O mine.
I am not trying to diss group here just stating the laid of the land before us.
Acting like COVID is a hoax isn't a Democratic party issue...
Trying to give businesses immunity for forcing their workers to come into unsafe conditions isn't a Democratic party issue...
Refusing to give people who are not able to work due to the pandemic any real stimulus ($1200 in 9 months so far is a ****ing joke) isn't a Democratic party issue.
I agree that both parties share in the problems that we have in government, but Pelosi is particularly unpopular:

No, just pointing out the fact that Pelosi is particularly unpopular.
Our government is full of partisan hacks that are unwilling to let the "other side" get any credit. They simply don't care about the country, just staying in power. Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, and many others are the reason we need term-limits.
Mitch is still in government because his voters don't care about their continuing diminishing of their quality of life so long as they get judges who will keep laws on the books that keep them down and invalidate laws that might help them. Classic voting against one's own interests.
