China welded doors closed to keep people from leaving their homes. Nothing about their response was appropriate or anything we should seek to emulate. They are on the exact opposite extreme as what Trump was pitching.
Sure but I never said otherwise. The Chinese government has gone to great lengths to cover this up. They control their media, they control what they want the rest of the world to know, they silence those who speak out, they've manipulated official death tolls in relation to COVID, etc. They are an awful government.
That said, its dumb when the talking points are strictly about how China is responsible and the US has no culpability. Trump can keep repeating China Virus till he dies. The US did a ****** job with this as well and that starts with the president.
That is a totally false equivalency. All countries make mistakes in some of the decisions that they make. YOu know why? It is because all countries have PEOPLE who are in charge and people are not always correct in what they decide to do about things.
But as for China, I don't think that they really made "mistakes" per se. I think that what they did after the virus itself got created was absolutely deliberate and wasn't a mistake at all. We know with 100% accuracy that the communist Chinese government has dedicated a lot of their top scientists and spent billions of dollars to develop chemical and biological weapons to be used in warfare against their enemies and for sure the United States is their main ENEMY, especially since Donald Trump became POTUS.
Now, we can conjecture all that we want to if China deliberately developed the Wuhan virus in some kind of planned attack on the US and the rest of the world. I'd say the odds that they did are maybe 10-1 against them deliberately doing it. BUt there is no doubt in my mind that once they realized that the virus broke the containment in China, China deliberately used its own people as attack agents to spread the stuff to other countries. To say that they didn't is beyond belief. These people in control in China are people with no decent human morals. They are Godless with no sense of treating people as you would wish to be treated.
As for the mistakes that the US made in dealing with the virus that China release upon the world, yes the US made mistakes. But they didn't make mistakes because they minimized the threat or did something intentionally to kill people. They made mistakes because no one had ever dealt with something like this before nor planned for it. Yeah, Trump made mistakes. I think one of his biggest mistakes was in trusting the so-called medical experts for dealing with what to do with the virus itself. I think that if he had gone with his instincts instead of jerks like Faucci and others who led the US and the world down stupid paths like the shutdowns that were ordered, we would be in better shape over-all.
But, you disagree and want to blame Trump for everything bad that happened. What would you have done differently at the time that decisions had to be made? No second guessing allowed. What would you as the POTUS have done right away that didn't end up being done? And please do not tell me that ordering MASKS for everyone to wear immediately is the great answer. To this day, there is no proof whatsoever that the wearing of these masks would save any significant number of people.
Not only did they weld doors, but they were more than happy to send thousands of their infected people all around the world spreading the stuff to other countries, not allowing other scientists in to see what the virus was all about, and lying about how serious it was.
It's not a false equivalency and I won't read the rest of your conspiracy theories about China intentionally creating this virus. Nor do I need to be told how great Trump was in handling it. He didn't but your shtick is very transparent. You're a Trump bootlicker. Everything is done to take down the president. You forgot how rigged the election was in your diatribe btw.
Keep living in whatever alternate reality you need to about PPE not mitigating spread. The president mocking those things, disregarding the science, blaming the amount of cases on testing, sure helped send a consistent message to American people.
Has the US government not ut out millions of public service messages to all of its citizens about the need to wear masks? Did Trump not mobilize American industries to make masks, breathing devices, build hundreds of hospitals, mobilize the US military to create field hospitals, create Operation Warp Speed to create vaccines?
You go ahead and roll your eyes all that you want. No US president in our history could have done as well as Trump did with this attack by China. That fact that you are putting Trump in the same category as communist China on this crime against humanity is disgusting.
The president openly mocked those who wore masks. You almost never saw him wearing one nor change any of his habits which presumably led to him getting COVID. He mocked the science behind the virus. He openly discouraged testing. He lied about the virus on multiple occasions.

Again with this Operation WARP speed garbage. We addressed this already. When there is financial incentive to produce something (IE masks, anti-bacterials, etc) companies will line up to do those things independently of government. Do you know how much money Johnson and Johnson has made since this pandemic started for example?
I'm not the one with the far far far far right theories on how things were intentionally done to destroy Trump's presidency. Since you started here, that's been your routine. Go sell it to someone else because you aren't selling it to me nor are you doing so to a majority of people on this forum.
If we had a president who understood science they would have restricted travel out of Washington California and New York in january, also would've set universal screening protocol at all major travel points and closure or mask mandate for all high density situations such as subways, arenas, theme parks, etc.
If we did this from the beginning we would have avoided having to shut down our economy. Only select industries such as professional sports or theme parks, which could be taken care of easily for MUCH less than the $5 trillion we needed to float our broken economy.

I don't believe China has only recorded 87,000 cases in the last year. China hasn't even reported a new death from coronavirus since April. Common sense will tell you that's not true.
