Sure, doctors can still make diagnosis without confirmatory test for many things.

And precisely what is your point here? That we should, as Governor Cuomo suggests, wait until Biden is sworn in to release the vaccine that has already been shown to be more effective than the seasonal flu vaccines? Strictly a political ploy on his part. He refuses to give credit where credit is due. This is one situation that Trump handled things well. Without Operation Warp Speed we would not have any vaccines nearly ready to use.
Governor Cuomo is the last person I would listen to for Covid advice after his orders directly caused the deaths of more than 10K people in his state.
OK, precisely what have I said that is contradicted by working physicians?
If you want to see clueless, look in the mirror. You have no idea what you are talking about. You are what we medical professionals call "Dr. Google" -- one that looks up symptoms on the internet, finds an article that agrees with their preconceived notions and assumes that it is completely factual and that anything that contradicts their closely held opinion is obviously incorrect.
Not only does sarcasm escape you, but facts do as well.
I agree, but many of these "covid" cases are never examined by Drs. They are simply done over the phone. The Dr will tell the patient to drink more fluid, take Vitamins C & D and a Zinc supplement. Standard advice for colds and flu. They work well for Covid as well.
Do you live in New York? Does Cuomo have the final say on whether the people of this nation are going to take a COVID-19 vaccine or not?
Yeah, that's what I thought. Maybe you shouldn't be so hung up on what this guy says (especially if you're not simply deflecting from the train wreck of an approach Donnie boi has had to all this).
I've explained my thinking a few times. I only brought it up this time because someone else thought that your comment was in reference to them and I wanted to clear that up. I've never tried to hide my opinion when I see people making decisions based on things other than facts and logic. It holds us back as a species.
I'm not deflecting anything. I have said that Trump's response was unacceptable. Its you that insists that you are right about everything without having either factual data or professional experience to back your statements.
I will say it again so that even you can understand it. Donald Trump's Covid response was unacceptable.
Is that good enough for you? Governor Cuomo's orders directly caused the deaths of over 10K people in his state. His state's numbers (according to Johns Hopkins University) are either the worst or 2nd worst in every category in the country. As I said, he is the last person I would go to for Covid advice, but I am beginning to think that you are far worse than he is. As I said, if you want to see clueless, look in the mirror. That is what it looks like.
Here, for your edification, is the Johns Hopkins University Covid Tracker:

I assume that you can navigate a website. If you can't, I will gladly explain it to you.
It's tough to keep track of all the nonsense people like you, Jacko, and ccugrad have been spreading on this site over the last eight months. Like I said, you all should be ashamed of yourselves.
On a similar note: what have I said about this virus that can be proven wrong by the underlying facts of the situation at hand?
Big thanks for the definition of "Dr. Google" though. That's totally not a term that most everyone isn't already aware of. Almost as earth shattering as the three steps to combating COVID-19 you shared the other day. Either way about it, I'll take a Dr. Google over your drivel any day of the week.
Keep getting bent out of shape about people wisely discounting what you have to say about the pandemic though. It's a look that fits you quite well.
And you think that should clear things up?
As I said, you can THINK what you want, but when you SAY what you think about someone's core beliefs and do so with them in the conversation, it is more than just a little disrespectful. I have various things I think about people of your ilk, too, but I make a point of respecting people's beliefs even when I disagree with them. I only brought it up again now because the times I did before you mysteriously stayed away from responding, even tho you were posting in other threads at the time. And now you're responding like it's no big deal.
The fact that you don't understand how someone can believe things based on faith doesn't mean people that do are remotely lacking anything you view as logical or intelligent. In fact you can't disprove what I believe in with facts no matter how hard you try, you only think you can because what YOU view as facts and logic differ from what I do in that regard.
Again, the difference is, I have enough respect for people's differing viewpoints to debate them, but not demean them......a polar opposite of you. From my standpoint rigid people like you hold us back as humans.
Heard ya the first time, big boy. Doesn't change the fact that you're obsessing over the words of Cuomo, the governor of a state you don't even live in. Let us know when a random quote of his dictates whether you or I should take a COVID-19 vaccine or not though.
I don't insist I'm right on everything by any means, but that sure doesn't stop me from calling out the BS spread by people like you: the guy that thinks we should all blindly believe everything you say because you're a "healthcare worker". In case you couldn't tell already: no one cares. In fact, this continued attempt at an appeal to your own authority is only making you look worse and worse.
Keep calling me clueless though. It only exposes your own frustrations and confirms to all who are reading that I am getting under your thin skin.
All right. Continue with the "holier than thou" attitude and assumption that you actually know something. You sir are clueless and have absolutely no idea what a fact about Covid is. Isn't it interesting that the healtcare professionals all say pretty much the same things about Covid? I believe I will bow out and only read your comments for their comedic value. There is no fact involved.
Have a nice day.
It's true, though I have no idea what they are considering suspected cases. I know that they counted my niece because my brother in law and his girlfriend were positive. They told them to treat it as she was positive and that they didnt see any point in putting her through testing.
