You can argue about who did a worse job all you want, but there is no way in the world that anyone should look to Cuomo for Covid response advice. His response cost thousands of lives in New York nursing homes. He is the reason New York has over 33K deaths and is high on the lists of total cases, death rate/case, death rate/million population.
Trump's response was unacceptable, but Cuomo's was worse for his people.
This is right. Both guys messed up, but when it comes to vaccines, which are nearly ready, to delay their release just because Cuomo wants to wait until Biden takes office is unconscionable. If the FDA approves them, they should be released. To delay will cost more lives and Cuomo obviously doesn't care.Quote:

And yes, I do not like Cuomo at all. I find him to be arrogant and a partisan hack. He doesn't want anything good to come before Trump is out of office, regardless of how many more people get sick from this virus.

Actually, Trump did not directly cause the deaths of anyone. Cuomo did by forcing nursing homes to take Covid patients without giving the staff additional training (Covid requires different treatment than general nursing home populations).
As I said, you can argue who did a poorer job of handling Covid and I will not disagree that Trump did a poor job. Had he done a reasonable job, he would have won re-election easily and you would have had 4 more years to whine about him.

Trump never ordered people to not wear masks. He simply gave people a choice (bad idea, as you have said, but no one was forced to not wear a mask).

That may not be on Trump (in my book it is), but it sure as hell is not on Cuomo, much less Murphy, Baker, and Lamont.
We must also consider New York (along with New Jersey and that general region) were the first ones hit, so their actions were taken with far less resources and knowledge than we have today.
