As Benny said we have gone the route of trying to moderate and given the insults, bigotry and gotcha games (often by the worst offenders) it means most of the forum ends up banned. If people want to go back to that I am fine with it, there is no need to waste my time on peoples BS if the forum doesn't even want the changes.

To me, moderators are like baseball umpires, the best ones are consistent with the application of the strike zone and do not want attention and don't take sides in arguments. It is a thankless job but if the rules are clearly shown, a good mod can simply point to the rule violation he is enforcing and not worry about criticism coming to him.

Its amazing watching the backtracking going on within the Biden mob regarding their mistakes about the handling of Covid by the Biden misadministration. Walensky openly admits that lockdowns were stupid and ineffective and that the mask policies were bad. Add to that the facts that the shots didn't do as promised and there was a lot of misinformation about the efficacy of the shots.

Its too bad, that Fauci and friends will not face prosecution on the Wuhan gain of function attack that he helped design and fund. To me, he might have been a willing Mengele to Biden's Hitler.

In a video sent to staff Wednesday morning, Walensky admitted the agency had made “pretty dramatic, pretty public mistakes” related to testing, data and communications in response to the coronavirus pandemic, according to Bloomberg, which cited an anonymous source who viewed the video.

The agency’s infrastructure was “too frail” to tackle Covid, Walensky said, according to Bloomberg.

Among the changes, Walensky plans to name a former Obama administration health official, Mary Wakefield, to help transform the CDC to focus more on public health; to hire more staff for a team that responds to public health emergencies; to create another new team to help decide how to spend the CDC’s $12 billion annual budget; to release data and scientific findings more quickly; and to ensure the CDC’s messaging is in “plain language” that’s easy to understand, according to the New York Times and Bloomberg.

I see. Unfortunately this place is always going to spiral and be like this no matter what is done. We have been through multiple mods and approaches over the years, these posters are who they are.

The options were basically continue down the path that was leading to permabans or take this route and allow people on the forum to call it out themselves without worrying about repercussions in gotcha games or getting infracted for insults (bigotry and racism deserve to be insulted imo). I have no problems with posters telling others in a very harsh manner it's not acceptable when they see bigotry and racism. Otherwise if people don't want to respond they always have the option of sending the PM too and getting it deleted.
