That was after the guy that was accused of "hiding in his basement" and attacked for not holding rallies was elected? You remember that happening, I assume?
Yeah, that guy looks ridiculous. Thankfully he was wrong and Florida was a-okay for the rest of the pandemic! Whew. Close one.
I didn't say you did. If you can't keep track of a conversation this is going to get really pointless really quickly.
Your claim was that it "will only affect protestors at the *WRONG* kinds of protests," which, as I demonstrated, was not the case. It was even reported in the *GASP!* media. :speechless:
Your evidence is that they aren't criticizing him for doing a thing they want? Is that a typo?
And Jake Tapper was wrong. First, not only did Biden also criticize the politicians spreading ******** despite his claim otherwise, and second, there is no reason to pretend that these are helpless, innocent people. I have no patience for those in the media that decide to fall all over themselves telling us the "**** your feelings" crowd should have their feelings considered. Maybe if you're told this has become a pandemic of the unvaccinated a few more times it will sink in. Or you'll just write it off as "sanctimonious" again.
I didn't say you did. You're the third or fourth person in this conversation that started with catman pages ago.
The people coming through the airport are staying here, going out into the community, interacting with servers in restaurants and clerks in shops, etc; immigrants coming through the southern border are still being expelled under Title 42. Only one of those is going to contribute to community spread, because only one of them is going to be out in the community. I don't necessarily agree with expelling them, but it is happening.
We're still talking about this like it's early in the pandemic. If there's a variant out there that's going to spread like Delta did, it's going to come here. We can shoot every immigrant on sight, but we're still getting cargo ships and cruise ships and letting flights full of tourists in. We should monitor the spread of these variants, but there is no chance this country shuts down again to stop the spread of a variant unless the death rate goes way up... and even then, you know people would fight it.
If there's a variant out there, it's coming.
Mu is in Finland and the UK and Canada and Hawaii and Alaska. And so is Alpha, and Beta, and Gamma, and Lambda. It doesn't have to come across the southern border when we're happy to welcome it in everywhere else.
The R.1 variant from Japan
showed up in a nursing home in Kentucky earlier this week. I'm guessing someone didn't walk from Ecuador through Japan and then to Kentucky.
