I must say that the writers of South Park must have a time machine that is almost as good as The Simpsons. Although The Simpsons never really focus on social commentary. Sure they make it quite frequently, but South Park makes a specific emphasis (and excels at it) on making incredible social commentary.

Does seem like they have ramped up vaccinating people at the border but people are still able to refuse. Not sure when that started up. I certainly wouldn’t allow them to be released into the US without accepting it.

I haven't heard about them vaccinating people at the border, Psaki said that they are "screening them" for signs of Covid, and quarantining as necessary as if Asymptomatic spread isn't a thing.

But we aren't vaccinating people to my knowledge, which we should.
**** we should be vaccinating foreign travelers at the airports too. You show up unvax'd and you want to come into the country, here you go, take a J&J single shot to the arm, and on your way.

It doesn't matter if they are or not, is covid only capable of infecting Citizens? I know it woke and will only affect protestors at the *WRONG* kinds of protests, but is it able to determine citizenship too.
The reason why herd immunity is so important is that ANYONE can act as a vector or host for the virus prolonging the pandemic and increasing the chance for mutations. Even if they aren't driving the surge anywhere, THEY CAN GET INFECTED at some point later. It's in EVERYONE's best interest that we vaccinate them.
We should be vaccinating these people because it's the right thing to do, regardless of whether they are driving the outbreak. On top of that, a lot of these migrants are coming through Colombia which has its own novel strain of the virus.

Furthermore, I don't understand how anyone on the left can so sanctimoniously look down on the unvax'd but then turn a blind eye to the tens of thousands of people swarming the border unvax'd and think...eh no big deal.

You are right and you are wrong. Obviously these are people that we are choosing to allow into our country (referring to the legal immigrants) and we do have the right to hold them to a higher standard than we might citizens. So I'm with you there. But the part where you lose me is when I see conservatives acting like immigrants are the reason we are experiencing COVID outbreaks. Because that's not true. The areas where immigrants go when they come into the country are seeing far lower numbers than areas of the country that we can isolate other clear trends. In fact, you can even make the argument that the areas seeing the biggest spikes are pretty anti-immigrant.
