Sorry but there is a lot wrong here.
Schools can open now.
My concern with schools has always been whether these kids are regressing socially and/or falling behind scholastically the more time they spend remote learning. A big part of school is the social aspect. When it was just a few months, OK, but now many are reaching a full school year. I know many have gone hybrid where each group is, for example, in person learning one week and remote the next. At least that helps, but they don't often change up the groups (like after the holiday break), so kids see the same classmates all year. Plus, there's not enough teachers for THEM to go hybrid. Plus, there's the impact on the family, especially if both work- they're used to their kids being supervised most of their work days, but have to adjust if their kids aren't in school...and many day cares are either closed or lower capacity.
Supposedly Fauci, the WHO, and the CDC say schools should re-open.
I understand it being a concern for teachers and parents, but fear isn't necessarily rational or reasonable.
I have one kid still at home every day and one who has 2 outdoor classes at the school a week.
Everyone thinks schools should reopen; it's a matter of how and when though. By no means is Fauci saying that schools should currently be open for in person learning.

There is nothing anecdotal or partisan about what I posted. It is a fact that there are 1600 students (both liberal and conservative) that have been attending in person school for 7 months. It is also a fact that not a single teacher has contracted covid from these 1600 students. It is also fact that many schools across the country are doing and experiencing the same results. Nasty seems to be seeing the same results at his niece's school in a massively blue state. So, maybe you just wanted to play politics.
Or is it that if schools reopen, you have to go back to cleaning toilets and stop collecting unemployment?
Never forget: if you disagree with dbroncsinmo you are poor, fat, and have no life.
A couple months ago a bus driver at school near me was COVID positive and it lead to a bunch of cases in one of the schools. Close all schools???

Why the hell would I know what his profession is? Not to mention, that still goes right along with what I said. You think he's a poor mooch who makes more on unemployment than he does at his actual job and/or is too lazy to care.
Outside of the nurse who mentions he's a nurse at every opportunity possible, I'm not sure if I know what any of these people do for a living.
