Anyone that leans leftwards are solely responsible for setting both the local and national pandemic safety guidelines obviously.
Because it's not just "eating on the sidewalk". We're talking tourism, travel, entertainment, sports, retail, etc. Even businesses that are essential need fewer employees now. They call it earning a living for a reason.
I have no problem answering your question - I think we should be open. I think everyone knows that.
Answer mine. If the virus continues to mutate and spread when do we end the restrictions?
Where was there an indefinite lockdown?
In central CA we had 3 lockdowns. The first which was the most critical, which saved hundreds of thousands of lives, and went on a few months, probably a little longer than necessary.
When we opened back up no one wore masks, so predictably, roughly 3 weeks after opening we locked back down. Curve flattened again and we opened up again, this time with a little more sense, and got to stay open until late November, when we locked back down in anticipation of thanksgiving and Christmas spikes.
Each lockdown made sense, the first one went one too long imo, but what is this indefinite lockdown you are talking about? What state has been indefinitely locked down since last march?

It was supposed to be two weeks, lol. Around that point I asked everyone how long they planned on hiding from this thing. Then it was three months, then six months, now almost a year.
I was against the stimulus and the ridiculous covid relief unemployment. We're all paying for this down the road.
Virus might not go anywhere even with an effective vaccine. We could see mutations the rest of our lives.
No there hasn't. We still have no travel restrictions in place. This is the ABC of a pandemic response. Wear a mask is the least of the least we can do, and even half the country isnt on board with that.
The reason anti mask has a spotlight on it is because it is unbelieveable stupid and ignorant take, itsshocking, but there's more to it than just masks. But if we cant even get your population on board with that then what chance do we have? 500k dead is easily predictable with this level of stupidity in a pandemic response.
It's SO bad here people flat out dont believe other countries have it under control. It has completely skewed their perception of what can be accomplished with a coherent response.
