Spin it Nick. Bottom line, D's insisted upon stronger worker protections and oversight over a $500 billion fund to bail out businesses.

D's secured a provision in the deal that prohibits businesses controlled by Trump, Pence, members of Congress and heads of exec departments from getting loans or investments from the new slush fund.
Also their children. D's announced it early this AM.
Hmmmmm wonder why such a provision was even necessary?
The death rate is at 1% because they have the equipment they need and the beds they need.
The number of cases is doubling every 3 days and the peak not expected for 3 weeks.
They have 16K cases now and if that trend continues, By Saturday, 32K. By next Tuesday 100K. By a week from Friday 200K. week from next Monday 400k. Two weeks from Friday 800K and the three week mark 1.6 million cases
Look at that number Mush. Stare at the potential of 1.6 million people in NYC alone, sick. At that point, you will have roughly 215k people in need of hospitalization and 120K in need of ventilators. At that point, you will see Drs telling anyone over 60, they can't have a ventilator. If we reach that point, you will see 100k people die in a week
And then there's the rest of the country because NYC doesn't have enough tests so they are only testing certain people. That means all of those who get mild forms of the virus or are undetectable are still walking around and unknowingly, infecting others.
They are saying," I'm from Ohio, I'm just going to go to my parents house"
Stop with the "Dem" crap and pay attention. Talk all the shite you want if this slows down and we are fine. But right now your comments are part of this partisan problem.
Don't be foolish. I know you don't want to look but you have to look.
This is a potential disaster unlike any of us have seen. Wake up.
I was going to respond to the above post regarding your living in NJ but I saw the bolded and it made my giggle so I will respond to both.
Trump isn't doing a bad job. He just shouldn't 't lie or make it lighter or fluffier than it is. Tell people the truth. Let it sink in. Thats what Merkle did and Germany stabilized. Give us as a country the chance to get smacked, scared and saddened, so we can then put aside difference to get through this. By lying, you create division. That is evident in how the country views this threat.
Don't talk about starting up business on April 18th when pretty much every expert has said, NYC will be just hitting its peak at that time.
Don't tell Cuomo he should have purchased ventilators when you know you actually outbid him for them.
Be honest.
I think his actions have been solid. I think his words have been extremely misleading.
As far as you living in Jersey, I posted a terrifying stat. NYC is doubling every 3 days. Their peak is estimated to be in 3 weeks. That would mean 1.6 million cases and 225K in need of medical assistance. That would mean 130K in need of ventilators.
That would mean Drs have to chose who gets treatment and who doesn't
I hope that it gets nowhere near that but DeBlasio has done a crap job regarding the "Shelter in place".
Playgrounds are still open? Seriously, WTF?

It illustrates one of the big issues with people living on top of each other. I love NY, but it's not really possible to not be near other people. Living there also, for me at least, made me get in habits that had me out and about regularly ... like going to the market pretty much every day, the pizza joint with the walk up window, standing in lines, there isn't room for everyone to be 6 feet apart.
No country has controlled transmission effectively w/out massive testing capacity. US currently has a sliver of the capacity needed. S.Korea’s performed 320,000+tests almost 1 for every 150 people,30x the testing per capita here.
Youngsters take note:
In the US, 20% hospitalized with coronavirus are between 20-44 yo
In NY, 53% of COVID19 cases are in people 18-49 yo
A 17 yo died in CA, a 12 yo in GA is on a ventilator
That's the thing that's kept me home. I'm not overly concerned about myself. I turned 31 yesterday, am in good health (as far as I know) and almost never even get a little cold.
But if I were to catch this and my 2 yr old or 5 month old were to get sick bc of me, I would be absolutely crushed.
My mom has a Dr appt this morning. Follow up for eye surgery she had last week. I'm currently sitting in my truck waiting for her. I have no desire to be inside the waiting room.
Appreciate the info doc.
