So i was watching the local morning news in the Seattle area this morning. They had Jay Inslee on to talk about corona virus news. In that same presser he was asked about what was going on in Seattle and was there a plan to get that 7-8 block stretch back from the agitators and hostel protest groups. He literally stood there and said he knew nothing about it and would have to look into the situation. Inslees your state has been the top news story because of the takeover of down town Seattle and u have no idea whats going on in your biggest city and you've been a top news story for over 24hrs
I tell u what some of these Mayors in major cities, some governors, senators and yes even POTUS , have said and done somethings since the start of the pandemic to make us look really stupid in the world and help continue the saying of Ugly or stupid Americans around the world

I am sure they have a plan. I applaud the mayor. It was promised tear gas wouldn't be used for 30 days and when it was, it seems she allowed this to happen. I also applaud the police. It was their suggestion.
My guess is they wait it out and see how it progresses. If people are chill and not doing anything stupid and policing themselves? It in effect shows that the police can be defunded.
I agree that all levels of government have been a **** show. But the POTUS continues to lie, threaten and divide.
Never in my life have I seen such defiance of state and local officials to a POTUS. I've never even seen close to it.
The regularity and quantity of governors, mayors, senators, representatives, military officials who have outwardly condemned, criticized and ridiculed the president is like nothing I've remotely seen.
That speaks to who he is, far more than it does to who they are, because there are far, far more of them and they are speaking out against his actions and words.

Regeneron begins human testing of COVID-19 antibody cocktail
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc on Thursday said it has begun human testing of its experimental antibody cocktail as a treatment for COVID-19.
The trial has an "adaptive" design and could quickly move from dozens of patients to eventually include thousands, Chief Scientific Officer George Yancopoulos told Reuters.
"If it goes perfectly well, within a week or two we will move to the second phase. Within a month or so of that we will have clear data that this is or isn't working. By the end of summer, we could have sufficient data for broad utilization."

The jump in cases is not that surprising, especially considering you have a dumb state like Texas who doesn't require people to wear masks in public places. If I'm New York, I pump the brakes a little. Cuomo is praising all the work that has been done to lower numbers but the spikes in different states would scare me a bit. It still be mandated that businesses occupy at smaller capacity, masks be required, etc for at least the next few months. They have to re-think opening schools too.
The public needs to remain vigilant as well. We can't stand on our laurels because numbers have dropped significantly.
So much for the virus being susceptible to the heat btw. You can't get much hotter states where they have been rises in cases than Florida, Texas and Arizona.
