I'll take all of it and give each of you in here, including Jorge, $1B.
I will then buy my own private island and live there for the next couple years.

REPORTER: Will you commit that no money from the emergency stimulus bill will go to your own properties?
TRUMP: "I have no idea what they're talking about. Everything is changing. But I have no idea ... let's just see what happens."
(That's definitely not a yes!)
One of the most blatant instances of presidential self-dealing in American history.
You do realize that trumps business employ average tax payers too right ?
Trump finds himself in a position where he can sign legislation directly enriching himself illustrates why the precedent had been for presidents to divest themselves from their business interests when they took office. Trump refused to do that, merely ceding day-to-day operations of the Trump Organizations to his two adult sons, whom he speaks with frequently and who serve as key political surrogates for him.

REPORTER: Did you or anyone in your administration talk to anyone at the Trump Organization about the potential effects of the coronavirus?
TRUMP: "No. I didn't speak to anybody. I speak to my sons." (Trump's sons are running his business)
The GOP plan included a $500B “Exchange Stabilization Fund” that would’ve given Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin broad authority to decide which businesses benefited, and Congress limited authority to oversee it or even know where the money was going.
“We’re gonna give $500 billion in basically a slush fund to help industries controlled by Mnuchin with very little transparency? Is that what we ought to be doing?” asked Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii.).
“We're not here to create a slush fund for Donald Trump and his family, or a slush fund for the Treasury Department to be able to hand out to their friends,” railed Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), who made corporate accountability a big part of her White House campaign. “We're here to help workers, we're here to help hospitals. And right now, what the Republicans proposed does neither of those. “
Even moderate West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin lashed out at the Republicans over the lack of controls on the Exchange Stabilization Fund.
“It’s throwing caution to the wind for the average person working on Main Street, it’s balls to the walls for the people working on Wall Street,” Manchin declared. “It’s the same ol’ story from Mitch McConnell.”

The COVID19 is not mutating significantly as it spreads around the world, according to scientists studying its genetic code. That's encouraging news for researchers hoping to create a long-lasting vaccine.

Personally I think the President is doing a great job, this is unchartered waters. I will not put blame on China even though it originated there. Could you imagine if the President had pushed the panic button from the get go. I beleive he was calming the waters before the tide hit. Of course they knew what was coming after seeing what was going on. We all look at hindsight and shake our heads and point our fingers. Most people think because we live in a free World that we do not have to listen to the authorities. I owned a business for 20 years and if I was told to shut down, I wouldn't listen. I would have never made it if my doors were closed. I have been lurking on PSD for the past 10 years and just recently joined the team. I am a die hard Yankee fan who grew up in Montana moved to Nevada and currently working in Iraq. I have been in the Middle East for the past 10 years so if I am lucky I catch maybe 1 or 2 games a year on TV and if I schedule my vacation right I can catch a game in Oakland

Chuck Schumer says that they’re on the 2-yard line.

Welcome to the board Roho, always happy to have some new blood in here. Hope you and your family are well and healthy
I was in Thailand when the Coronavirus was breaking out. There was a lot of people getting sick but no one was panicking as it is common for the Asian people to have fevers several times a year. I think it has something to do with weather. I was kind of in a panic mode as the rumors going around at that time were the flights were going to be canceled, and if I did make the flight the country of Iraq was not going to let me in (kind of strange to be worried about that). I made it all the way and had no issues. I flew in to Northern Iraq where it isn't as bad as Baghdad. Iraq has a lot of cases of the virus and most of it is coming across the border from Iran.
Haha..yes, I have been all over Afghanistan, Kuwait and now Iraq and until now the Internet service has been bad. I purchased the MLB package the day before they delayed the season. I was very jacked for this season to start. I would follow the box scores and watch play by play action on yahoo but that was frustrating.
But those big business would certainly cut back their workforce if they don’t have capital to help pay for their salaries. They would lose their jobs Clown.
Trump said no golden parachutes or stock buy backs.
Mc Turtle even said that as well. The Dems WERE FLAT OUT WRONG including those in their wish list into a bill that is just for Corovirus.
And Big Business is not affected by Corovirus?
Some of you think eliminating big business would solve the world issues..
I get tired of the same old card of we gotta take care of the weak and feeble. Some on here act like they would be ignored.
D's secured a provision in the deal that prohibits businesses controlled by Trump, Pence, members of Congress and heads of exec departments from getting loans or investments from the new slush fund.
Also their children. D's announced it early this AM.
Hmmmmm wonder why such a provision was even necessary?
The death rate is at 1% because they have the equipment they need and the beds they need.
The number of cases is doubling every 3 days and the peak not expected for 3 weeks.
They have 16K cases now and if that trend continues, By Saturday, 32K. By next Tuesday 100K. By a week from Friday 200K. week from next Monday 400k. Two weeks from Friday 800K and the three week mark 1.6 million cases
Look at that number Mush. Stare at the potential of 1.6 million people in NYC alone, sick. At that point, you will have roughly 215k people in need of hospitalization and 120K in need of ventilators. At that point, you will see Drs telling anyone over 60, they can't have a ventilator. If we reach that point, you will see 100k people die in a week
And then there's the rest of the country because NYC doesn't have enough tests so they are only testing certain people. That means all of those who get mild forms of the virus or are undetectable are still walking around and unknowingly, infecting others.
They are saying," I'm from Ohio, I'm just going to go to my parents house"
Stop with the "Dem" crap and pay attention. Talk all the shite you want if this slows down and we are fine. But right now your comments are part of this partisan problem.
Don't be foolish. I know you don't want to look but you have to look.
This is a potential disaster unlike any of us have seen. Wake up.
I was going to respond to the above post regarding your living in NJ but I saw the bolded and it made my giggle so I will respond to both.
Trump isn't doing a bad job. He just shouldn't 't lie or make it lighter or fluffier than it is. Tell people the truth. Let it sink in. Thats what Merkle did and Germany stabilized. Give us as a country the chance to get smacked, scared and saddened, so we can then put aside difference to get through this. By lying, you create division. That is evident in how the country views this threat.
Don't talk about starting up business on April 18th when pretty much every expert has said, NYC will be just hitting its peak at that time.
Don't tell Cuomo he should have purchased ventilators when you know you actually outbid him for them.
Be honest.
I think his actions have been solid. I think his words have been extremely misleading.
As far as you living in Jersey, I posted a terrifying stat. NYC is doubling every 3 days. Their peak is estimated to be in 3 weeks. That would mean 1.6 million cases and 225K in need of medical assistance. That would mean 130K in need of ventilators.
That would mean Drs have to chose who gets treatment and who doesn't
I hope that it gets nowhere near that but DeBlasio has done a crap job regarding the "Shelter in place".
Playgrounds are still open? Seriously, WTF?

It illustrates one of the big issues with people living on top of each other. I love NY, but it's not really possible to not be near other people. Living there also, for me at least, made me get in habits that had me out and about regularly ... like going to the market pretty much every day, the pizza joint with the walk up window, standing in lines, there isn't room for everyone to be 6 feet apart.
No country has controlled transmission effectively w/out massive testing capacity. US currently has a sliver of the capacity needed. S.Korea’s performed 320,000+tests almost 1 for every 150 people,30x the testing per capita here.
Youngsters take note:
In the US, 20% hospitalized with coronavirus are between 20-44 yo
In NY, 53% of COVID19 cases are in people 18-49 yo
A 17 yo died in CA, a 12 yo in GA is on a ventilator
That's the thing that's kept me home. I'm not overly concerned about myself. I turned 31 yesterday, am in good health (as far as I know) and almost never even get a little cold.
But if I were to catch this and my 2 yr old or 5 month old were to get sick bc of me, I would be absolutely crushed.
My mom has a Dr appt this morning. Follow up for eye surgery she had last week. I'm currently sitting in my truck waiting for her. I have no desire to be inside the waiting room.
Appreciate the info doc.
