There is no good or bad. It's more about ethics and style of reporting. At this juncture neither is a traditional news outlet, but rather opinion / commentary, more entertainment rather than news. Imo FOX takes it to an extreme and actually challenges the limits of credulity. Both have clear political bias. There was a time CNN was a serious news outlet, think back to Wolf Blitzers coverage during the Gulf war. No politics only BREAKING NEWS 24/7. Now it's more opinion with a clear leftward leaning bias.
The best way to describe the difference is to allow a former Fox News anchor, now working for CNN, offer her take on the differences between the two networks.
Alisyn Camerota: "No, I don’t enjoy talking about it,” Camerota told Barr. “I am very conflicted about talking about it. I wish I didn’t have to talk about it. I still have a lot of friends at Fox. I am very close to some people at Fox. I still socialize with people from Fox. So, I don’t like talking about how they run their operation but the times that I talk about it, it’s when the hypocrisy is so astonishing that I can’t help but to talk about it.”
As far as working at CNN compared to Fox News?
“It’s just night and day,” Camerota said. “On every level, it is dramatically different. I never, ever have had (CNN boss) Jeff Zucker tell me what I need to say. Never. And with (the late Fox News head) Roger (Ailes) that was a weekly occurrence. … CNN is built on the mechanics of journalism. At Fox, nobody ever asked me for a second source. Nobody ever mentioned it.”

Only a Kool aid drinking MAGA hat could or would call The New York Times atrocious! Dan Rather was a very highly respected voice for many years.
BTW It wasn't Rather who reported it only commented on twitter. Several news org reported it.

That's not true. Fiscal conservation hasn't really existed in the Republican party in years. Bush did a ton of deficit spending and Trump is about to embark on something that is unprecedented in terms of spending. He wasn't cutting down wasteful spending before this either so your taxes go up with either party at the helm.
Its sad because you should expect more out of your government and the leader of this country. Its also sad that you care so little about anything else besides your wallet and your family. You should want America to do better because it only benefits your kids, grandkids, great grandkids and the people around them.
Your selfishness explains a lot though because the orange turd has a similar mentality.
Just give me back the MLB season. But I do enjoy watching some of the old games from the 1980s. I recently watched Tom Seaver’s 300th won at Yankee Stadium in Aug of 1985. That Yankee lineup was good in that season. Tom Terrific was awesome on that win in front of a packed House with George Steinbrenner and Richard Nixon in attendance.
I heard a story that To. Seaver is not doing good now with his health. I remember that trade in 1978 to the Reds or was it 1977?
Dr, was Seaver top shelf during that 1970s? And how did the Reds not do any better after that trade?
Pelosi?
You are an essential worker!
Get your *** back to Washington DC.
Congress should be back to work...so laughable.
Very pathetic!
His problems go back to his days while living in Connecticut. He contracted Lyme disease, subsequently led to Bell's palsy and more recently dementia.
I didn't follow the NL, but Seaver was clearly the class of the division if not the league. During the 70's he led the NL in SO 5 times, ERA leader 3 times, he averaged 18 W's (only 10 L's) and 35 starts a season. He was traded mid season in '77.
