Good News: The Stimulus Bill provides $367 billion for small business loans and $130 billion for hospitals. This is a big step in the right direction, but it's ridiculous that corporations are getting nearly four times as much bailout money as hospitals on the front lines of this crisis.

Um small businesses are not big corporations . And small businesses need to be kept running or many more people will die from starvation and violence than the virus itself .

Dr, do you want those workers from those corporations to lose their jobs or get change from full time to part time with little benefits?

With no or very little revenue for 1-4 months then payrolls will get slashed.

You don’t seem to care about the workers.

And then there's the rest of the country because NYC doesn't have enough tests so they are only testing certain people. That means all of those who get mild forms of the virus or are undetectable are still walking around and unknowingly, infecting others.

Stop with the "Dem" crap and pay attention. Talk all the shite you want if this slows down and we are fine. But right now your comments are part of this partisan problem.

That is exactly where my concern lies. Will it be a "trickle" down? I would prefer loan forgiveness for any corp that agrees to NO layoffs or firing. My point above, hospitals are on the front line in the fight, imo they deserve a lions share. Corps have cash reserves they can tap, they can get low interest loans, their liquidity much better shape than hospitals. Over 80% of hospitals in the U.S. are non-profit.

Sure, there should be a business side to the bill but the average Americans are the ones most in need of money right now as unemployment skyrockets. If you read my next post (which you clearly didnt) you would see I did take issues with Democrats putting provisions in their version of the stimulus. That said, the slush fund in the Republicans version was absolutely ridiculous.

Why doesn’t anybody have any issue of the name: Spanish Flu?
