California had over +3,500 new cases today. Texas had over +2,000. Three other states (Florida, North Carolina, and Arizona) had over +1,500.

These five states have been leading the pack for the past several days, followed closely by Alabama and Georgia.

Not a second wave folks a continuation and acceleration due to premature reopening and relaxed social distancing.

Some states like Texas also don't require masks being worn when entering businesses, etc. I do wonder how many people are relaxing on PPE as well. I worry about that happening in New York. It's worrisome that this seems to still be killing nearly a 1000 people per day.

Hospitals in. areas of Texas are getting close to being overrun. It will happen in Florida . But Florida is not reporting hospitalizations from Covid. Hmmm

I think phase 2 is going to last a long, long time in most states.

Incubation is 4-14 days. The protesters, agitators, looters, rock throwing, bottle throwing, paint spraying, window destroying has been going on for 3 weeks now. The protesters and testing is why numbers have spiked.

You and your friends complained about very little testing and now we have a lot of testing and now you have some spikes.

Why not blame the protests? The beachgoers were to blame initially by the opposition of reopening.

The pictures of the protesters showed a lot of them with no masks and nobody 6 feet apart. And this was Country side. But with the opposition that is fine and dandy with THAT because they were and are still doing it for a great cause and that doesn’t count.

So majority of the people on this forum have labeled the protests as mostly peaceful with very little civil unrest and civil disobedience.

But over 750 cops were injured and millions and millions of dollars of damage was done.

But we ignore that because of the cause. And cops don’t kill, hurt, seriously injure white people during their arrests and only do it to the black people of this Country.

I’m not saying social injustice doesn’t exists because it does but where are the protests for the other people who have been hurt or killed because of a bad seed in the police department?

Somebody needs to show me the actual numbers of those incidents as I’m pretty sure somebody has it broken down by race.

But people want to defund the police because of a few bad seeds? What is that?

The damn Seattle mayor wants to defund the police but she had 24/7 police protection in and around her house.

What a hypocrite.

Again, I’m not even trying to argue or debate about what had happened to George Floyd, it was disgusting and that in my eyes was 1st degree murder and he should have serious consequences.

I’m a little confused on why the overreaction of this entire issue NOW?

Why not in 1975, 1990, 2000, 2013.

Why all NOW?

I’m not talking about why the issues have not been addressed because have been since 1865. The Jim Crow laws were fckn disgusting.

But my point is why is the focus even louder than ever in 2020.

Why are the coronavirus issues louder and divided so badly when we need to be united?

It seems to me the Democrats have found two major major issues and will use it and blast the spotlight sooo bright that it somehow can persuade Trump voters to jump to Biden in November.

I’m not saying conspiracy bullspit with these two issues. I’m saying the Democrats are even more louder than ever and are using these two issues and ammunition to try to knock off Trump as single step he takes is severely criticized to no end. Even if he does good during these issues the Dems will ignore and just say SEE, HE IS UNFIT TO BE PRESIDENT.

But they want another “old white guy” who has his serious issues of being unfit to be in the WH in Jan 2021.

It is beyond laughable anymore of the hypocrisy with the Democrats.

And again, Trump is not what I would ever want for President. But he has balls and is not cut from the same old crap from the past Presidents that are all the same but with different ideas that cater to their bases.
