Technically he blasted de Blasio's leadership in the handling of the rioting and destruction that took place. Imo he believed more could be done to protect people and property. Reading between the lines it seems he feels it could have been prevented had there been a more timely response. I also sense he was not happy with the heavy handed approach the cops took against peaceful protest.

Cuomo's condemnation of the New York City mayor came Tuesday, a day after agitators looted shops and police officers were attacked amid the protests, some of which have turned violent.

“The NYPD and the mayor did not do their job last night. I believe that. Second, you have 38,000 NYPD people," Cuomo stated. "It is the largest police department in the United States of America — use 38,000 people and protect property. Use the police, protect property, and people. Look at the videos; it was a disgrace."

So cuomo was simply passing the blame to deblasio and not taking any responsibility for his lack of leadership .
Then there was cuomo threatening to remove deblasio from power like only a dictator would do .

I would have increased police presence after one day , not 3 or 4 . And I sure as hell wouldn’t say I am calling the national guard and not use them .

Why couldn’t Kap just do his message in the street? You know why? Because he wouldn’t have the audience he was trying to get. Messages get lost in the street.

But he was still a professional player and could have bought media coverage easily and the message would have still gotten out.

But he pissed off people and it is sad that people blanket the pissed off people into one single camp of being against the actual meaning and that is total bullspit. People were pissed about the platform he used to convey the meaning not the actual meaning.....geez, how ignorant some people are with this.....
