Those prior decades all had a basic sound for the most part during that particular decade. We need a new music revolution like the early 90s gave us. Something new and fresh and original. The Man in the Box around late 1989-1990 from Alice and Chains was probably the first alternative song that was challenging the Hair Bands. I initially hated that song because the guitar sounds were tuned down some to give it a new sound. I think E was where it was going with guitars. But around 1991-1992 I started to buy their music and loved their sound. I was too late to the party.

We need new rock but NOT the sounds of like ColdPlay or Imagine Dragons. I want a more grittier raw sound. Those newer bands are good and popular but their sound doesn’t move the needle with me.

Check out The Shins, Black Keys, Dr Dog, They may have gotten their starter earlier than 2015 but they are still going strong.

So Mush, do you really think those protestors, just want to go back to work? Nooses, confederate flags, swastikas ... They just want to get back to work? Or they have a president that supports them by calling them "good people", so they can act out that way?

Unlike most countries, the number of new deaths each day is NOT declining substantially, yet states are starting to reopen.

Those so called experts predicted a million deaths and we are nowhere near that.

I know you did Dr. but the deaths are on a lag. You don’t die immediately and you know that. Deaths today are from cases that were 2-4 weeks ago and that is my point.....there is nothing cute about that, just saying the lag......so if you have less cases today overall then in 2-4 weeks the deaths will be less...what do you not understand?

I initially started with Rush, Styx, REO and Foreigner around 1980. Those were my first albums I had my parents buy me. Basically same formula that got me hooked. Now, I’m only talking 1980-1982 RUSH as they went more commercial in those particular years.

I then found my father collection of records. Black Sabbath and Led Zep along with all Beatles were his main likes.

I branched off and explored all rock music from 1962-1980 at that point in my life.

80s were my teen years so hair bands and heavy metal was in my main catalog of music. Grunge came and I was in my very early 20s and love that music for about 4 strong years. Once Cobain died the grunge basically died.

Alice and Chains were also a band I loved, tremendous music and a terrific singers in that band.

It sucks most of the great grunge or alternative music singers all died or killed themselves. I would have loved to hear Nirvana’s sound in 2020.

Grunge got hijacked and over marketed. But I think the logical progression of Nirvana would have been along the lines of the Foo Fighters.

Hole was also amazing. Like her or not, Courtney Love has a fantastic grunge voice.

Other really good bands are Wilco, uncle Tupelo, Flaming lips, Flaming Groovies, The strokes, the hives...
