Clown, my biggest fear is seeing the country falling completely apart with unemployment. More people will die without jobs. I always said to wait until a May 15 but by then it is time to open up the a Country.
Testing is plentiful now.
First there was no threat with the virus from the Dems.
Then Ventilators and hospital beds and the healthcare system would fail.
The we needed to flatten the curve.
Then it is too soon.
It just never stops.
People won't die. People will adjust to a life less materially based. I grew up with a father on a pastor's salary and two sisters. People will have give up lots of extras. It will be a life of necessities. No cable, no Yankees, no cell phones with all the functions perhaps. Maybe lots of things we can't afford anyway to keep up appearances. Maybe one car instead of two per home, maybe things like that at worse case scenario. Then things like Citizens United and corporate welfare gets reexamined by a population that is less distracted. PS testing is woefully inadequate even Republican Governors have said it.
Nick testing is nowhere near where it needs to be. They promised 27 million tests by the end of March. The US has only performed 4 million, and it’s LATE APRIL. We are woefully behind.
I'm tired we can argue about the rest in the morning. Suffice to say initial estimates based on modeling suggested the demand would be high for beds and equipment. Either the models got it all wrong or people, particularly in the NYC vicinity, took the threat seriously and abided by guidelines for social distancing ect. and managed to contain and limit the spread.
That's on the Democrats too. They can talk about oversight but they should have done more for American citizens and true small businesses. Not Ruth Chris steakhouse, Harvard university, Trump hotels, etc.
That said, that's exactly McConnells interest. Hes an awful human being.
The logic makes no sense.
