Keep the garbage about Communist Democrats at home. When this is all said and done, you'll probably have 20+ million people out of work. Those are exponentially higher numbers than the recession in 2008. The fact is people need money. Where do you think that stimulus money comes from? It comes from current and future tax payer dollars.

American people need money now. They have rent, mortgages, bills, car payments, etc. Those things haven't just gone away. Some companies will let you defer payments but not all of them.

I'm lucky that i've made decent money to survive and have no mouths to feed but i could probably last another 6 months before i'm in trouble. Trust me, most people are not in that financial shape.

There should be multiple payments made to American citizens. Trying to get loans and unemployments from websites that crash and phone numbers where you cant get human beings is a joke. Makes me wonder how much of this money is actually being given to businesses and how many people are actually collecting unemployment.

Yeah typical communist behavior , try to shut up the opposition with insults and threats . Both sides suck . The Democrats are all about taxing and spending while growing the govt’s power and the republicans do whatever it takes to stay in power , including bowing to the Democrats on key issues . In the end the average tax payer is screwed .

Where did I insult anyone? I said this isn't a time to talk about communist and socialist democrats. Its a dumb label anyway. Sure, there are groups of the democratic party that are very leftist. Just like there are groups in the Republican party that are extremely right wing.

I know both sides suck but that's not what this is about. You can't see the forest through the trees. This isn't about party politics. Its about helping American people in a time of unprecedented unemployment. Do you understand that?

For the short term that is ok , but sooner or later they have to start opening things up again or the economy will collapse on itself . The sooner the better

They aren't communists. Neither are they socialist like Mush was implying. You have groups of both parties that have more radical ideas but if you think the Democrats are socialists, then you don't know what true socialism is.

I know what true socialism is , my family is from South America . And a good deal of the democrats these days are exactly that . They just attempt to hide under the guise of “ moderates “ . But when push comes to shove even the moderate Democrats end up falling in line with the hardcore left socialists . There may appear to be a division in the Democrat party right now but it’s all for show to get votes . In the end the Democrats all vote for the same thing over and over .

17 million people out of work is "okay"? Even in the short term that's not okay and we have no idea how many jobs will be permanently impacted by this. There are going to be a lot of businesses that stay out of business when this is over. In in the interim, we need to give people better access to unemployment, small business loans, and getting direct payments to American people.

This is one of those times where being fiscally conservative doesn't cut it. Under more normal times, yes, but this isn't that.

You can't just open the country whenever. There has to be a plan in place and those plans are fluid depending on when this virus peaks and starts slowing down.

If you had a socialist Democratic party, Sanders would have won the democratic nomination for president. He didn't.

The government doesn't control production of food, goods, healthcare, etc and that's not where most Democrats stand. Most democrats would like to see some form of regulated capitalism which is not a bad idea. No businesses should be too big to let fail where American citizens are paying for them if they do for example.

The only reason why sanders has never won the pres election is because the Democrats know most people won’t vote for socialists for president . But like all political parties they will lie to the people to get their votes . Including putting someone out there who appears to be a moderate but in the end will always go with the socialists after being elected . I mean there is already a large voter block that will vote for socialists or sanders, AOC, Pelosi and other far left Democrats wouldn’t keep getting re-elected

In a time like this Sanders had as good of a chance to win the election as Biden did. At the end of the day, it doesn't change the fact that screaming socialist/communist democrats is ridiculous. We need more direct payments to American citizens to make it through this, especially with how difficult its been to file for unemployment or apply for a small business loan.

I'm all for being fiscally conservative but these are unparalleled times and people have responsibilities they can't pay for.

Well that’s why things need to start getting back to normal sooner than you might like . The govt can only send out so much money until it runs out since you got more and more people not paying taxes than there are paying taxes
