It was dropping tremendously int he North while the South was getting their first wave. Deaths kept dropping too and no, the incrase for the South was way less than the outbreak of the North. Plus the SOuth had much better testing as we learned so much to that point including better and increased testing.

As for the second, why not post it in context? Where it's under maybe it could happen and warned it's going to get worse.

Trump never said it was a hoax. But I don't recall him ever telling those calling it a hoax, that the threat was real. So he didn't start that idea but he certainly allowed it to grow.

He did not say it would magically go away. He said it will "just go away". Which is not a lie. But it is also a cop out and a weak stance in very beginning of a pandemic. Also, we don 't actually know if it will just go away. We don't even know yet if our resistance is permanent. There are reports of people getting it a second time. That may not bode well for long term vaccines.
(Which will not be available to the public in October. That is a pure campaign ploy. I am sure that when it doesn't come out, he will have a perfect alibi and person/people to blame)

The data did not suggest that. There were hopeful comparisons that considered a possibility that this virus would loose strength in the warm weather. Even as Brazil was getting slammed, that narrative continued.

The outbreak in the south was less than in the north? I presume you mean in April-May? Because the south, has been getting hammered.
The top 5 states are Ca, Texas, Fl, NY, Ga. Texas, Fl and Ga are the highest per capita rate.
Texas, Fl, Ca all have over 200k more cases than NY. Ny has the largest death toll by far, largely because of poor handling on all levels of government, the population density, speed at which it hit, and the lack of knowledge in how to treat the virus.

You continue to base arguments around what it does to kids. What about their parents, grand parents, teachers?
It is seriously, myopic argument. Kids are fine. Great!! But they carry it.
If you or your wife had diabetes or severe asthma or heart disease, how happy would you be that your kid was in school?
You may be one of those who would take the risk as a patriot. That's fine. I wouldn't argue. I would disagree.

We lead the world in testing, Shoot disinfectant into you veins, I don't need to wear a mask and testing will make the numbers go up, I will tell everyone to do what they want but every person around me is tested on a daily basis, so I know what to do to stay healthy...


Thankfully, it is not as deadly as it could have been. Thankfully things have somewhat returned to a new norm.
But that data to which you referred also suggested second and third waves. We will see. I hope it does just go away. But I am not going to act like it can't kill me and I am going to protect myself and those around me. It's kind of sad, so many can't simply do that.

Some peeps are more worried about protecting Donnie boi's reputation than protecting their fellow men, women, and children.

Given the money they get, I am not thinking there are many if at all any that do not get a COVID test done at the "time of death" Now add in all those deaths that are happening because of the lockdown and fear that has been stated ad naseum and yeah, COVID is killing folks, it's just not the disease.

I am high risk and my kids needs to be in school. Research suggests that kids aren't great carriers. Like the flu, if you are at risk, take precautions.
