U.S. intelligence officials warned in November that the coronavirus spreading in China’s Hubei region could become a “cataclysmic event." It's also been reported there were repeated briefings through December for policy-makers and decision-makers across the federal government as well as the National Security Council at the White House.
The military’s National Center for Medical Intelligence (NCMI) documented concerns about the initial stages of the pandemic in an intelligence report, two officials familiar with the document told ABC News, which added that the document highlighted how the virus was disrupting life and business and threatened the population in the area.
Does it matter? Well considering his response was pitiful, I would think the fact that he had EVEN more notice and time to prepare makes it more egregious. Could he have done more? Seriously? Surely you jest.
You are correct he is not a doctor or a scientist, (although he does try to play one on tv) even more reason he should leave medical opinion and scientific data explanation to the people who actually have a clue.
