Who said nobody knew and this is new. Cuomo ****ed up but you clearly dont understand "scope". Cuomo didn't have the funding, nor the intelligence to do anything on the level in which was needed. That was the federal government's job to provide PPE, fund testing (which is still not readily available and we're in May), etc. Much like "why people need to go to the store instead of the beach", scope is a concept that is clearly lost on you.

Going back to change what happened was in response to you solely blaming China and WHO for what was happening here. I understand this is hard for you because you love the orange turd so much but once the virus made it stateside and Trump had knowledge of it, the fact that he decided to do so little is where his culpability began. Deflect blame all you want. The president does a great job of that btw.

At some point, it became a US problem and very little was done to address it.

Its not goal post shifting either. Social distancing was all we had in the beginning because the availability of testing was not there. Its still nowhere near the capacity it needs to be but testing is the only real solution here until a viral treatment or vaccine is developed.

You and i have talked about Inslee before and my dislike for him personally. That said as a gave him credit for, IMO with his swift action right after the first hot spot was ID he started shutting down everything STAT and used the state " rainy day find" as he said from the massive Pot business in this state to oder PPE and started trying to line up extra medical staff from local colleges in case of a massive problem. He handled it correctly from day 1.
Its the one thing that really started to piss me off about Trump, Inslee handled this 100% better than the NY and FLA governors, i believe Washington, NT and FLA were the first places to see cases, Yet Inslee was the one who he called out . Trump was just pissed because Inslee took the initiative to start getting the PPE and extra Medical staff without the Feds go ahead. If you look at the death toll in the 1st states that showed cases I believe Washington has the least amount of deaths

Neither is a good option imo. There should be a middle ground that we can find to allow everyone to remain safe while still being able to run errands and whatnot. Keeping everything closed is dumb, but so is opening everything back up fully like before.

Idk how most shut down places are planning their re-open, but with Best Buy, starting next week they will be allowing customers in the store using an appointment system. You can go online, call or walk up to the store and reserve a time to come in and shop or look at products.
Each customer will have a sales associate with them, practicing social distancing. The stores will also be offering masks to anyone who enters if they don't have their own already.
They'll also have store employees tasked with constantly sanitizing all areas of the store throughout every day.
This to me seems like a reasonable way to re-open, stay safe and be sure the store never gets crowded.
