That coronavirus death rate, which is lower than earlier estimates, takes into account potentially milder cases that often go undiagnosed -- but it's still far higher than the 0.1% of people who are killed by the flu.

The coronavirus infection-fatality rate spikes up to 7.8% of those 80 or older, but death is rare in children <9 yo (0.00161%), and for those <40, the fatality rate was never higher than 0.16%.

It could put us back to work...combined with rapid diagnostic testing we could get out of this economic tailspin. We could also get convalescent plasma.

Nick riddle me this. Why has Florida gotten the quickest aid response, when places like NYC, Wash., New Orleans are in far worse condition. Also why has the Florida governor refused to shut down the state? Considering the age of the population I find it irresponsible. I am not alone, the state is currently being sued to shut it down, lawyers also filed for discovery to find out what the hell is going on.
