If not sooner!
If they did he would probably land a position in Trumps cabinet!

Yo Jorge this ones for you:
BREAKING: Gov Ron DeSantis pressured Miami Herald‘s law firm to drop a lawsuit that would force Florida to reveal all elder-care facilities with a coronavirus case.
The law firm dropped the case, but the Herald is now hiring NEW lawyers.

Jeorge the one thing i absolutely agree with u about and still do, is that given a choice between Satans Sister ( Hilary) and Trump i still take Trump everytime. He.maybe a self serving business man first but what she is IMO is far, far worse
Diblaso and Cuomo in a pissing match about shutting schools down for remainder of this current school year. Diblaso said they're closed for rest of year, Cuomo says only until 4/30 as of now and any decision to close schools further will be his.
They definitely don't like each other and are taking passive aggressive shots at each other.
**** em both.

“Why don’t we let this wash over the country?” Trump asked, a question others told the Post the president has raised repeatedly in the Oval Office. Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, realized with surprise that Trump was serious, the Post reported.
“Mr. President,” Fauci responded, according to the Post. “Many people would die.”
Love to be told how well the president has handled this virus btw.Quote:
A new report on the Trump administration's missteps in the early days of the coronavirus' spread into the US was published in the New York Times on Saturday, detailing new instances showing how President Donald Trump ignored the warnings of his advisers about the lethal infectious disease approaching America's doorstep.
According to the report, Dr. Robert Kadlec, the top disaster response official at the Department of Health and Human Services, convened the White House coronavirus task force on February 21. During his meeting, the group conducted a mock-up exercise of the pandemic. It predicted 110 million infections, 7.7 million hospitalizations and 586,000 deaths. As a result, the group "concluded they would soon need to move toward aggressive social distancing, even at the risk of severe disruption to the nation's economy and the daily lives of millions of Americans."
However, it would take more than three weeks for Trump to enact social distancing guidelines on March 16
They were both horrible candidates. I'm glad she lost. The party was a bunch of nepotistic fools for giving her the nod. Biden would have been the perfect choice and I think he would have won. The irony is that while, without hesitation, I would have voted for him then, now?
I also understand why people voted for Trump. I still get why they did. What I don't get is the continued adoration through this. Wake the **** up. The man is not a leader. He is a self serving, arrogant prick.
He has been horrible. Sometimes you back a horse that is winning and then looses steam and you have to tear up your ticket.
They both suck.
My feeling is, wait til 4-30 to decide. If things are really, really slowed? Maybe you go back. If they are somewhat slowed? Wait till June. Have them go to school an extra hour and a half each day or on Saturdays for a month, to make up for some of the lost time. They don't need all of it because they are doing online classes.
Actually if you watch this timeline Diblasio says it first, whether it's board of ed closing or shelter in place. Then Cuomo says it's not going to happen. The suddenly Cuomo en acts exactly what he said he would not not allow Diblasio to enact previously. It's like the Real Housewives show. But it's usually Diblasio actually calling it first and more accurately. I bet the NYC board of ED will be closed as he stated.
Absolutely. My only point was, there is not reason to make a hard, fast choice now. It's not like students, their parents and teachers are planning trips or need to have their schedules free.
Teachers are still teaching and kids are taking classes online. They have to do that till the end of the year regardless of only or live. I just don't. think an announcement needs to be made.
I agree with Flimflamman's post and your thoughts. It's a pissing contest.
I actually don't fault him for the "wash over" thought. Every idea needs exploring. It's not being reported that he was insistent, if that were the case, it would be ****ed but the consideration of that idea doesn't upset me.
The second part of your post is the crappy thing.
But I voted for Kasssich in the Primaries. I voted for Trump too against Clinton but honestly had I just been conditioned to hate Clinton after years of listening to Rush, Hannity, Ingraham ? After I stopped listening to that trio for a fee months my mind began to change. Fresh air creeped in. I was like Ted Nugvent previously about anything " Lib ". Yet, at some point I got tired of being so inclined to depersonalize everyone not like me. I wouldn't say at this point both sides suck. I would say both sides are imperfect. I would say both sides say promised they can't deliver. However, election per election I am not going to wear a uniform and vote for a teammate anymore. However, my 18 years olds future is what I seek to protect at this point. And her children's and thus my priority given the changing economy is going to be how I vote in the future. Plus the ecology. Just this week the Trump administration rolled back fuel emission standards. While this month during this quarantine the Earths environment has seen a improvement due to less emmisons. The contrast to me is significant. We were told by some on the right human activity cannot alter the Earths climate. I think over the last three weeks what human activity can do when it comes to our environment. It's startling. I live in the Bronx and the air is crisper. Anyway, off to work, happy Easter. If Kassich or Rubio had been the Republican candidate both would have won, both would have appointed pro life judges, both would have cut taxes, but neither would have engendered so much division and been so irresponsible. Ted Cruz is a jerk and arguably would have been as divisive and slow to respond to the covid.
I agree. I think it's a question of ego and authority. Cuomo does not like De Blasio, never did (and I would guess the feeling is mutual) and it infuriates him when he feels his authority is being usurped in front of HIS audience. Personally I like them both, but realize completely they are both slick politicians with incredible ego and self serving agenda.
Part of the issue imo, Cuomo is making decisions for the entire state. De Blasios' interest are more focused in the city, particularly Manhattan and the outer Boroughs. The county execs have a significant role in local government as do the Borough presidents. What is good down state may not be best for the entire state.
I continue to quarantine from posting on this thread. It has been a week or so. The thread is truly disgusting and deplorable (to regenerate a word) and has brought out the worst in some of you. If you can't see it, then nothing will help and reading these posts has made me lose a lot of respect for many posters. Even when one person posts about perceived inadequacies about a politician, another can't even discuss the objections rationally without invoking their hatred for the President or someone else. You know who you are. Most days I feel like calling a bunch of you out, but that would only lead to more vitriol. I wouldn't even post today if it weren't a special day. So, in spite of what I might have inferred above, I want to wash it all clean.
Happy Easter everyone. He is risen. He has taken away the sins of the world. He has shown us the way, the truth and the light. Please be safe and count your blessing on this most blessed day of the religious calendar.
Be careful not to conflate the honor and glory reserved for the Prince of peace who sacrificed his life for mankind, who showed a life of mercy for the poor, sick, and outsiders for a President who has done none of this. Who has manipulated Christians desperate to have someone they believe had their best interests at heart. You invoke Christ in your post who willingly accepted ridicule, alienation, and death to teach others to show mercy yet you refuse to even to talk with people who you disagree with. As a Christian I don't get what your saying and it's intellectually dishonest that you invoke Christ as a cover for you to attack others who disagree with you. As Christ fought, don't point out the speck of dirt in the other persons eye and ignore the log in your own.
Dr, cut the comparison BS!
We have a Billy Martin as President and you blast him for the way he is handling this crisis.
We all know how he is.....the problem is 50.5% of the population doesn’t care how he acts.
Quit trying to show us HOW YOU WANT HIM TO BE, he never will so save your time with something else to post.
You lost me Nicky. What comparison? I thought I was offering a critique of Cuomo.
You are indeed correct, that is a frightening thought don't you agree? No empathy, compassion or self awareness.
That's an insult to Billy Martins legacy!
Not how I WANT him to be, but how he is!!
Maybe I missed it, but there's something I haven't seen mentioned. Let's assume the schools remain closed for the remainder of the school year. Then in June or July, or even May, people are allowed to go back to their jobs. These families are going to be scrambling to find child care. Much different scenario than if the kids are in school.
Facts don't matter. But given he never answers questions directly raised to him, he has been intellectually self quarantined. Prolific and at all hours. Most of us take the work day off, maybe posting at lunch or a break. Or the evenings or mornings off. Or a day off for rest and to do other meaningful things. However, I bet if you searched Jorge has posted non stop.
So I heard Trump had serious warning signs presented to him on Jan 29. He basically shrugged them off.
Idiot!
Actually Nicky I thought I was offering a critique of his recent short comings. But....
Now that you mention it, although I wasn't intending a comparison. Who do you feel more comfortable with during this crisis? Who has showed leadership and lead with honesty? If our lives depend on it, and they may, who do you want in charge? TV ratings or well reasoned rational thought?
Love him or hate him Obama made it clear, in times of crisis the most essential quality is honesty.
