They already look horrible. It's actually not dissimilar to what the republicans went through with Trump.

My hope is that both. parties get a reboot and start to think about the people.

Right now, it's lower income people who need to work, that are going to be subjected to this virus. Mitch wants to take away benefits for those who don't want to go back to work because of unsafe conditions.

I believe much of the pushback to get people back to work is motivated by gas and oil.
The right not wanting to extend any programs for workers that could be permanent

People will learn too quickly that they have power in masses. People will learn that they can work from home and save money on transportation costs.

And oh look, the biggest hole in the ozone has healed itself because of the drop in emissions

We as a world can learn from this or not. The world seems to be learning but we as a country, are not.

Nascar and golf seem like they'd be 2 of the safest sports to start back up. Nascar you're in your own car and golf it's just you and your caddy.
I don't see them having as many potential issues as baseball and basketball could.

Nascar with all the engineers, pit crews, saftey crews, etc. So it'll be interesting.

Nicky, Posada, NJbaseball, riddle me this, why would the administration block testimony? Hmmmm Are they afraid of something? Maybe something like the TRUTH? Nah, I'm sure their intentions are more altruistic.

From what I read (and this is my first hearing about it and looking into it), it is viewed as counterproductive to ship Fauci out while they are in the middle of trying to fix this mess... bc Congress is not currently in DC, however on May 12 fauci is scheduled to be interviewed by the senate in DC.

Thing is the same people that are criticizing trump so badly and call him a moron somehow expected trump to have known more than the cdc and fauci did 4 months ago when they too were downplaying the virus .

I also am not sure how reliable fauci truly is when he had changed his predictions on the virus several times in the last 3 months .

Like I said before, anything to absolve Trump. People have provided enough evidence that Trump knew about this sooner than he acted on it. We're aware China wasn't forthcoming and no one is saying they shouldn't be held accountable. Then again Trump praised China's "transparency" with this virus in a tweet in January.

Ultimately, you can't have it both ways. There are plenty of examples here that the president downplayed the virus and didn't take serious actions soon enough.

And you guys keep pointing to him banning China travel on January 31st. Well what was he doing in the subsequent time between that date and the date he declared a national emergency (March 13th)? There is only proof that trump knew about the virus in China months ago , Again there is no proof he knew any more than the cdc , or fauci did . But there is proof that both fauci and the cdc were downplaying the virus as recently as late February . You people on the other hand are accusing trump of knowing more about the virus than the cdc , fauci and WHO did at the same time . Now how the hell does that make any sense ?

As for the time between the date of trump putting travel bans on China and the date of him declaring a national emergency ,it was during the same time frame that both fauci and the cdc , the so called experts were saying that the virus was not a major threat to the general public here in the US.
