RCS, That is awesome to hear. I hope for the best, for everyone. I haven't been following the news much lately and I am not sure who qualifies and who doesn't. On another subject I believe churches do need to be paying taxes.

My grandparents came here legally through NY in the early 1900s

All are and were legal.

This is not an economic reason for unemployment. This is a global health crisis....just a little more serious than some economic nose dive from policy when Jimmy Carter ran the Country into the ground and RR pulled us out!

your absolutely right that it needs to change but how i the world do you enforce it? we can't even get accurate info out of them about their true numbers on this virus and what really happened or even whats even currently going on. Doctors there that have tried to speak out on social media have even gone " missing". We can't even get them to begin to corr operate when it comes to pollution, China is by far the worlds biggest offenders when it comes to that. Do we really think that they are going to police themselves when it comes to food sources? how would you even do that, threaten to jail them if there found to be hunting/cooking/ eating bats ect? they may get more quality food in jail then they get on their own in some cases

I absolutely agree its necessary to get them to stop eating those things, trying to figure out away to enforce it is a completely different manner

I agree that it needs to be the UN. One thing i have adamantly disagreed with our foreign policy in my lifetime, 36yrs, is that US has either chosen or in most cases been forced into being the world police force. IMO many of the conflict we have gotten into since WW2 should have been handled by the UN. IMO its has played a huge part into the reason their is so much dislike for the US around the world

again though what do you do if it was on purpose? they produce so much of the worlds products if they decided to stop production of alot of thing the world would be in serious trouble. That is one thing Trump has done right is trying to reduce our manufacturing reliance on China so much and re did the trade deal that made it much more fair for us.

If your talking a military response, they're easily a top 3 military and have a close alliance with Russia, Iran and N. Korea, not the group we want war with. The last thing the world or especially us want/need is that little bastard in N. Korea knowing China would have their back in a war and launching his Nucs that he so badly seems to want to do. Any military action from us or the UN would put us in WW3 and very likely nuclear war. I don't believe that they want any kind of military action anymore than we do because it could literally lead to the end of the world as we know it

Its absolutely the right thing to do in theory if they did it on purpose, which i doubt. If, huge if IMO they did release this thing i think it was far more likely that it was intended to be a means to an end of the massive problems they were having in Hong Kong with them rioting and pushing against communism, which this virus absolutely accomplished. I do think there is a chance, maybe even likely they took advantage of the situation and let it get out of hand to be a way to stop the problems in Hong Kong. I just don't see them releasing it as a weapon on the rest of the world. If they did do something purposely, i think it was far more contagious and deadly than the anticipate/calculated. What better way to stop the massive protests and riots than a virus that makes people sick and die when people are in close proximity to each other. They were sure talking about taking deadly action in Hong Kong if it didn't stop and guess what it did exactly that and the world is no longer focusing on the massive problems they were having there.

Any kind of repercussions towards them absolutely has to come from the UN and the rest of the world not just us and England like England has talked about. We've volunteered and at times been forced into being the worlds police force for far, far to long. A role IMO we never had any business taking on in the first place.

What is it that you understand about my response. ? I asked what if illegal parents of US citizens can get payments. The children are just as American citizens as you are. My ancestors on my mother's side were puritan settlers to New England from the time they came over around the English Civil war. That legacy doesn't make me any more American then a child whose parents are illegal. So that is why people ask that question. American citizens in need who otherwise meet the economic guidelines should receive the assistance despite if their parents are illegal. I am not saying illegal aliens all should get a check but the at least the ones with American children.

I read it as, the states need to exhaust their supplies before the fed jump in and when they do ask for help, they need to be accurate. It isn't just, "hey mom give me twenty bucks please. It's "Mom. I need to get lunch and a haircut and by two notebooks for school. I think twenty should cover all of that and I will give you the change"

I don't have an issue with that.
