My sister works for the department of health and lord has she had a busy week. Been getting emails and alerts to wash your hands, quarantine yourself if you’re sick, and so on. It’s such a giant **** show.

My brother works for the govt in emergency disaster relief in Colorado, they been working on this coronavirus overtime for a couple weeks now.

It's definitely a very real threat. Good thing most politicians and local politicians are being pro active about it, unlike the president who seems to think if you close your eyes and scream real loud it will go away. lol, what an idiot he is..

In the US, roughly 80,000 died from the flu last year.

SARS killed over 8000 in China and another 700 worldwide. It killed at a 9.6% rate. Scary but when you take into account, the amount of people who may have had it but didn't report it because they thought it was a cold or flu, those numbers perceivably dip.

Coronavirus is spreading faster than SARs but the death rate is far smaller at 2.5%.

When and If this virus has a consistent 10% or better death rate and is hit the 250,000 case mark in the US, worry.

If not, be smart. If you are older or immunocompromised, be extra careful

I Thought the whole point of opposing Trump was because we wanted to stop bad things from happening. Cheering things worse than what Trump has done just to get him out of office really defeats the purpose of your opposition.

Those people wouldn't take basic precautions in the first place.

There are 2 things that annoy me with this

1- the people that are happy about this because its destroying the economy and thus trump hate
2- nobody is taking this seriously because all you hear is well the flu killed 60000 people last year so this is nothing.

The idiocy for these are hilariously awful... I dont like how unprepared we are as a civilization and we have failed miserably and id like to think we will learn from this but we wont and when a bigger badder virus pops up we are screwed.

After this I wish all the countries would come together and put money into a big deal like a UN type of thing that has full jurisdiction to go into any country and investigate/follow up/figure out the second something pops off strictly for viruses without having to deal with the red tape of war/etc... we had to wait way to long before we even knew the virus existed and could go over into the problem areas.

It’s rage deep state trying to bring trump down.

All of Italy is in lockdown mode right now and the virus spread there pretty quickly. They now have the 2nd highest death toll behind China.

With how nonchalant so many in the US seem to be about this, I'd say there's a strong chance this gets out of control in the coming weeks. Hospitals are going to be overwhelmed.

that isnt on trump though that is on america... i have complained about this ******** forever... obama was trash and was loved because first black president... trump is hated and he hasnt done a bad job but the problems arent the presidents its the presidency... we cant expect guy to do anything in 8 years period... its a system that is setup to fail and we expect 1 guy to do everything and when he doesnt we **** on them and it gives us hope the next guy or girl is our saviour but they wont be... our system is ****ing stupid.

it seems legit from like 2 months ago... congress said nope... trump wanted travel bans from day 1 when no other country thought it was even an issue... thoughts?
