Nature and its creatures are wonderful. On the other hand I could care less about your kids/grandkids

It's not about instant gratification. If we brush off people for aspiring to unrealistic goals in the current climate, then we can never place enough of them to change the climate to where they are no longer unrealistic goals. You can still have a grand mindset whilst settling for what you can currently get.
Oh goodness.
There’s fans of hers.
My goodness.
Has anyone heard her speak? And I’m not talking about the sound bytes on Insta.
Wow.
Don’t tell me what to care about. You think we are going down a road that will make things difficult on future generations but you decided to have kids. I care about myself and my love ones of a lot more your lineage. Doesn’t mean their welfare is irreverent to me but this idea that it’s supposed to central for me is silly.

I believe what he’s trying to say is that you should care about his grandkids and others from families you’ve never met before because they could just as easily be your grandkids. With something as vast and disparate as the climate, it doesn’t only impact one family, a small region, or even a particular continent. Something as wide reaching as that will impact us all and by extension any of our future family both born now and potentially born in the future.
I'm surprised at you. You missed it completely.
The correct phrase to communicate what I believe you intend is "I couldn't care less." Look it up: your phrasing actually means that you do care, which is nonsensical following "on the other hand."
For someone who trades on pithy linguistic nuance, you screwed the pooch on this one.
And what's this about irreverence? Are you drunk this early in the morning?
Also, read my original post. I was talking about the shame of American society as a whole. In that context I said "our" children, not just mine, meaning our collective progeny of a nation, including your alleged "loved ones".
