Doesn't sound all that bad to me and it doesn't infer that he has no understanding of marginal tax rates.

Maybe she is the dumbest person in the world who did nothing impressive by winning her congressional race...but she sure as hell is dominating the headlines. That's accomplishing something. Sorry, getting "the ratio" on Twitter, or "getting ratioed/ratio'd", means a tweet has way more comments than likes/retweets. It's almost always a sign of an incredibly disliked or bad tweet. It's so bad people are chiming in, and no one is endorsing it (liking/retweeting).
Scalise and especially Norquist's objectively bad tweets saw them have way more comments than likes/RTs. They thus got "ratio'd"! They lied to completely misrepresent AOC's words.
AOC's response to Scalise had 33,000 comments to 131,000 likes. A dunk. The people love it.

The deception he is practising is twofold:
1. Unless all of his twitter followers (the you in “your income”) are earning $10 million annually, the 70% rate does does not pertain.
2. Much more important, it’s not 70% of anyone’s income; it’s 70% of anyone’s additional income above $10 million.
