Its ridiculous arguing how the woman was supposed to feel as rioters were actively looking for her. I don't care if she was in the Cannon building (which is connected to the Capitol building). You have a bunch of raving lunatics outside calling for politicians heads and people are suggesting that her account is an affectation. Trying to poke holes in her story while forgetting that nobody should be put in that position to begin with. Not to mention, deflect from the real story of those Trumpers trying to overturn an election through bloodshed.
As for her politics, she's a progressive democratic socialist. Conservatives are not going to agree with her. Neither are moderate lefts. She appeals to a segmented portion of the Democratic party much like Bernie Sanders.
Yup, Jan. 6th will always be remembered for when AOC overreacted to a raid on the Capitol Building.
And no, AOC's supporters aren't going to diss her as the republican posters want and it silly for them to think we would or should listen to them when they support someone like Trump, who we hate.
not once have I ever said she shouldn't feel how she did, yet this continues to be the argument.
I have made 3 arguments, that remain true.
1. Ted Cruz did not almost have her murdered. that is literally what she said, and she was wrong for those choice of words.
2. she was not in the Capitol building. that is a fact.
3. she vilified the Capitol police that came to help her, and I have not seen anything from her thanking him for doing his job and being there to help her.
it's good to see some thanking the Capitol police for what they did, AOC should give it a try.

Quote:
Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, told reporters he did not realize that he was walking toward a mob of rioters and said he was “very fortunate” that Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman warned him and directed him to safety.
“I was very fortunate indeed that Officer Goodman was there to get me into the right direction,” Romney said, adding that he is looking forward to thanking him.

Sen. Chuck Schumer: "I just want to give tremendous credit to the Capitol Police officers who were in my detail, like the rest of the Capitol Police officers, they are utterly amazing and great and we love them."
I agree, and I am totally on AOCs side on this (other than her calling Cruz an attempted murderer), but it does make me wonder why people who were reacting with fear to riots in other parts of the country through half of 2020 were not sympathetic of them too. It really seems logic is missing us somehow. Some is clearly driven by politicians who want us divided and the press using it as a lure, but some of it just comes down to people seeming more gullible than ever.
Its not his fault, they wouldn't show that on Fox and Friends nor would he see it on Carlson and Hannity clips that he doesn't watch.......live
Who cares if she wasn't in the Capitol building. She was in the building connected to it while an angry mob was outside looking for her because she is one of the more prominent politicians these idiots wanted to make an example of.
Ted Cruz's rhetoric, much like the presidents, incited those people. If you keep waving a steak bone around a pack of hungry dogs, eventually they're going to bite. They may have been strong words but I understand her fear and frustration. The constant beating of "the election was stolen" drum led to this.
As for your last point that has already been debunked as Sitewolf referenced.
