Meh, seems like fairly pointless attacks.
I don't care if a congressperson passes tons of legislation that does nothing. I also don't care that she didn't support bi-partisanship, thats part of her appeal. I prefer the way she thinks to the countless old gouls leftover from a past era that still occupy the democratic party.
That’s great but I think more of her appeal is that she connects with millennials and gen z and they vote and are more likely to match her views.
Yes it’s easy to go there and just go in line with others and be looked as like you are doing something when is just business as usual.
Sounds like someone that should be working on television discussing politics rather than someone in politics.
Did you notice the part where she actually votes with Trump more than some of her other freshman colleagues? So the part about just going in line with others seems a bit odd given the facts outlined.
Would love to know what all the things she voted in accordance with him were.
Anyways I think her ideas are still too far left to get passed and they way she has been boarded by the gop I don’t see many working with her.
I think that whole spiel about other putting more work is kind of BS.
I'll let you in on a little secret………I doubt very much if all that many dems like her ideas either. They won't openly criticize her because she is in the party (although she is seemingly free to do this), but I don't see her having all that much support.
Say whatever you want about congressionals but the vast majority of them, on both sides of the aisle, are not stupid people. Especially Senators. For the most part, people in congress are well educated, accomplished men and women. They're not going to take to someone like AOC. They don't need to be lectured by some "woke" (whatever that means) young woman that criticizes their lack of digital experience while they have massive amounts of actual experience in congress and in life in general. They deal with AOC because they have to……she was legitimately elected and has a seat at the table. That doesn't mean that they have to take her seriously…and, for the most part, they don't. Same with the rest of the squad. Most congressionals probably can't stand them.
I think you assume that people are just being contrarian. Really, let's pick an issue, we will debate it, and we will write a fake bill and see how it comes out. A fun social experiment.
Her appeal is working on people that have done little and accomplished even less. Her huggy/feely ideas appeal to others like herself that have a serious lack of understanding as to how the world works.
She is much like the high school junior that is elected as next year's senior class president. He/she promises all these wonderful student benefits that he/she is going to get implemented. Sounds fabo with all the other students and he/she gets elected. Then the student runs into the reality of the school admin that has the experience to deal with real issues in real time and nothing that was promised is ever instituted.
Here's a little clue for you all……any time a candidate starts clamoring "for the people" and fighting "for the forgotten underprivileged class" and doesn't want to "forget the little guy" talks about "voices being heard" ……… these politicians never get anything done.
