The right wing media adore her.

Anyone who thinks she "threatened" anyone needs a brain transplant.
Alexandria got elected because she played her cards right in her district. Her same strategy would not have worked in much of America. It's all about catering to your crowd and she did it very well. Her district is about 50% immigrants, largely hispanic, largely middle to low class. If you're a part of that group, everything she said is music to your ears. That's how she got elected. While I disagree with some of her ideas in her political agenda, she's clearly more educated than she is given credit for. She's not particularly great at explaining things, either and does try to play the victim way too much. For example, Ben Shapiro asked her if she would like to have a public debate on various subjects and she declined by stating he was trying to "catcall" her. What? If she believed in her ideas as much as she did, she would have taken on the debate so she could push her story further but I think she even knew it was political suicide since Ben is a very articulate debater regardless of how you feel his stances are.
I'm happy she has a grassroot following and is from a humble background but the political climate today was a perfect opportunity for someone like her to get a seat and job well done to her if that was her goal. Now, please explain how you will get others to support it.
She has to get her other members of Congress to approve of it. It's the same thing with her subpoena tweet. She falsely or inappropriately claimes she had the power to subpoena someone when she doesn't. All she has is a vote. Did you see what the DNC did to Bernie? Why would they bend down for Alexandria? It was the same problem Obama had and I really liked him but the inability to get members of the Congress to work with each other is a huge gridlock for America right now. Good luck trying to pass the most leftist ideas in American history with no or little support. She's regarded as a prodege of Bernie but IMO, Bernie was much more knowledgeable. I may disagree with Bernie but in many cases, does cite evidence for what he says and provides an argument. Alexandria? Man, I honestly don't think she has a clue of how the system works. Especially the massive blunder in claiming the Pentagon "lost" $21 trillion when it was a huge misunderstanding from her part in terms of how the money flowed into it.
