I've said before that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says stupid things, and she did it again. like Trump she has no filter and just says whatever is on her mind without thinking.

after this shooting, this is what comes to mind for her.

"thoughts and prayers" is not an NRA phrase. this is not said to deflect. this is said with heart after things happen for the people that actually do want/appreciate thoughts and prayers.

I'm certain "thoughts and prayers" is not JUST an NRA phrase, it may also be used by the NRA. It reminds me of a phrase PeTA uses when talking about pets and to manipulate emotions ... they don't just say "dogs and cats" they say "dogs and cats and puppies and kittens". Just because a phrase is used by one group doesn't make it evil to use by everyone.

So Nancy Pelosi thinks 16 year olds should be allowed to vote because she thinks they are getting more involved with politics. Yeah, nice try. It's obvious she wants more qualified voters so herself and her colleagues are able to stay in power longer. 16 year olds don't give a damn who pays for it as long as it is paid for. 16 year olds are trying to party and have fun. They aren't going to be researching topics and how it affects millions of people domestically and billions internationally. Yet, Pelosi thinks they should be able to vote. If anything, the voting age should be increased to 21. I get it, though. If I were Nancy, I would do everything in my power to get as many votes. That's what both parties are overly concerned about.. who gets the votes. Sad.

I suppose to some people not allowing 5 year olds to vote is voter suppression. I know when I was 16 I was a more politically aware person than the vast majority of my classmates, but I certainly would not have been good for the system. I've had a job since I was 10 so it's not working that makes the difference. My perspective changed dramatically when I was no longer living with my parents. Maybe voting should come with paying rent/mortgage?

OK so when it comes to this AOC deal stuff, when we're talking about media headlines we all posting consistent, then someone drops a link on the actual bill, or whatever, and it's crickets.

This mother****er is powerful. I'm pretty sure I mentioned this before, but even one of my friend who wear hijab say she sometime double takes when seeing another girl wearing one on the plane thinking if something crazy might happen on the plane. That's how powerful this **** is. Even I do it myself, I have been non stop prejudged my whole life and I know I still do it to others, definitely regarding trump supporters, lol!

They didn't import Nazi Germany propoganda experts and scientists here for nothing. They brought them here for something. Can you see what they were brought here for?

Well, plenty of people can't afford rent/mortgage in higher expense cities so that's going to exclude a lot of people who are affected. Raising the age to 21 is better because people need to grow and be given an opportunity to understand policies before they vote. For sure, 16 year olds being allowed to vote is an absolute junk proposal and it's sad that this is even a discussion simply because Nancy wants more votes.
